Sarna Festival ()

Sarna is an international dissident art festival within which there is an area dedicated to audiovisuals and international exhibitions.

In this 2023 version, the sample is directed to the Queer theme.

General objective :

In the audiovisual area, the festival carries out an international non-competitive video exhibition that seeks to encourage the dissemination of video by dissident artists and with QUEER themes and bring these works closer to the Antofagasta public through free samples.

o Fictions around the world: Fiction short films
from 5 to 29 minutes.

o Transversal Realities: Non-fiction short films
from 5 to 29 minutes

o Experimental Technodiversity: Experimental Videos
from 0 to 29 minutes


(It is understood that the experimental video does not have a limit in terms of its category, genre or format, so works will be received in which what is relevant is the vision and concept of the filmmaker)

How to apply for the call:

o Send video in 720p or 1080p, MOV, .AVI or H.264 quality DOWNLOADABLE link that must be placed in the registration form mentioned above.


· Participation conditions

o Individuals or producers of all ages and nationalities can participate, in the event that the video is not in Spanish, it must include subtitles.

o The work must be sent in digital format even if it was originally made on video, celluloid, etc.

o The authors must have clarity and respective permissions of the copyright regarding the images, sound and music of the work.

o The representatives or authors of the selected works must agree that the Festival organization will project their video in the various activities that will be carried out on the stipulated dates of the 2023 version, these will be samples in public space, promotional videos of this and the next version.

o It must be clear that Sarna festival is NOT a competitive festival, so there will be no prize for the selection and exhibition of their videos, the festival aims to disseminate the artists' works through exhibitions in public spaces.

Application dates:

The reception of works will take place until January 22, 2023.


· Results:


The selected works will be announced on January 23, 2023 through personal e-mail, on the fan page and social networks where the days, times and places of the samples of the works will also be published.
