The International Film Festival for Boys and Girls Nenos Fest, is a Cinematographic event
aimed at children, which will take place throughout the year in Galicia.

The main objective is to contribute to a comprehensive education, encourage curiosity,
participation and expression of opinions, of boys, girls, through an experience cinematographic, playful and educational through the exhibition and analysis of short films that provide a vision for learning to know, learning to do, learning to live and learning to be, being the protagonists of the event.

AWARDS AND QUALIFICATIONS

a) BEST SHORT FILM FOR BOYS AND GIRLS (3-6 years old)
b) BEST SHORT FILM FOR BOYS AND GIRLS (6-9 years old)
C) BEST SHORT FILM FOR BOYS AND GIRLS (9-12 years old)

The Festival may add the mentions, recognitions and/or prizes it deems appropriate.

The organization reserves the right to announce the prizes in money and/or sponsors until the moment of the Official Selection 2023.

REGISTRATION

﹅ The call is addressed to directors and producers of all nationalities.

﹅ Short films of all genres are accepted, up to 20 minutes completed as of January 2019, aimed at children up to 12 years of age.

﹅ The productions must be presented in the original language, but with subtitles in Spanish if that is not the language of the film.

﹅ You can submit as many films as you want.

﹅ The organization of the contest reserves the right to make the decisions it deems pertinent for those cases not provided for in these bases.

JURY

The jury of the different categories will be made up of the Boys and Girls attending the projections of their qualification, which are carried out throughout the year. Therefore, it will be the popular jury who will determine the winners.

DATES

﹅ Registration period: from April 20 to May 20, 2023.

﹅ Selected Notification: as of June 1, 2023.

﹅ awards ceremony December 2023.

﹅ The festival will be held in various locations in Galicia. The selected films will be exhibited in public and private sessions in the rooms arranged for it, during the months of June to November 2023.

SELECTION

A selection committee, made up of members of CityBlue Films, the festival's organizing distributor and producer, and primary school teachers, will be in charge of classifying the short films that will be screened in each section.

In the event of being selected, the participant will not be able to withdraw their film once the selection has been made public by the Festival organizers, they also agree to send it through any file download platform (Wetransfer, Drive, Mega, Vimeo or other):

﹅ Exhibition copy in digital files, of one of the following options:

- MP4 / H264 at 10,000 kbps, resolution of 1920 x 1080 pxls. minimum, audio AAC 48KHZ 16 bit.
- Prores 422 or ProRes 422HQ, resolution of 1920 x 1080 pxls. minimum.
In the case of having subtitles in Spanish, these must be embedded (on screen) or in .srt files

﹅ 3 Frames of the work, poster or digital billboard.

﹅ Presentation video of the short film and some images or video of the Makingoff (no more than 1:30 min)

The Festival does not pay for exhibition rights (fees) of the works that are part of the 2023 Official Selection.

By registering, the participant declares that they are the owner of all rights to the registered film, its sound and/or visual files, and exonerates CityBlue Films, distributor and producer organizing the festival, from any claim that third parties may make regarding the public exhibition, the intellectual and/or patrimonial property of the work within the framework of Nenos Fest
Participants who are OFFICIAL SELECTION accept the reproduction and/or dissemination of fragments of their works, as well as trailers, posters or photos, for informational and/or promotional purposes related to the Contest.
