Welcome to the 9th Annual Ravenheart International Film Festival (RIFF), taking place in the vibrant heart of Oslo, Norway!

As Norway's only film festival dedicated exclusively to fantastic cinema, RIFF is unique in Scandinavia.

Our mission is to connect domestic and international filmmakers through the universal language of film. While we celebrate all forms of cinema, we place a special emphasis on fantastic genres, including Sci-Fi, Horror, Fantasy, Thriller, Dark Comedy, and more. RIFF is not just a festival; it is a vibrant gathering for filmmakers, cinema lovers, and creative weirdos to unite, share their passions, and revel in the captivating world of genre films.

We warmly invite submissions from all genres as we strive to showcase the finest work from around the globe. Our live event will provide an enriching experience for everyone involved. We also encourage aspiring filmmakers and students to come together, inspire each other, and elevate their storytelling craft.

Bases

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY SUBMISSION:

Films submitted must have been completed after January 1, 2025.

We will notify you by April 9th, 2027, if your film is officially selected. Please ensure your email and contact information are correct and up to date on Festhome.

All films delivered after April 23rd, 2027, will be considered for the following year's festival unless otherwise negotiated in advance.

All entries officially selected grant Ravenheart the right to use footage from the screener and trailer.

You also grant RIFF permission to screen your film at the event and use any material sent to us for Ravenheart's promotional purposes without constraints.

Physical screeners, such as DCP or Blu-ray, will not be returned (unless further negotiated; please don't send us your master copy).

They must arrive at least two weeks before the event and be postmarked well before.
