HELLÍN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL,
with this V edition, it becomes a cultural consolidation in the Spanish cinematographic universe. A festival that brings together not only cinema, during November 15 and 21, Hellín will host personalities from the world of cinema, training courses, conferences, location routes, concerts, wine tastings, galas, and etc.

1. PARTICIPANTS
Participation in the contest is open to producers and filmmakers from all over the world. Any filmmaker or producer who requests it, regardless of their nationality, can benefit from these rules.

Oficial Selection Films:
Fiction films may be submitted to the contest, produced between the period between January 1, 2024, and July 21, 2025, whose duration is between 45 and 120 minutes and that have not been presented previously to this Festival. It will be taken into consideration that the work be premiered in Hellín during this edition.

Oficial Selection Shortfilms:
Fiction films, produced between the period between January 1, 2024, and July 21, 2025, whose maximum duration does not exceed 20 minutes and that have not been presented prior to this Festival. It will be taken into consideration that the work be premiered in Hellín during this edition.

Official Documentary Section:
Documentary films produced between January 1, 2024, and July 21, 2025, with a running time of between 10 and 120 minutes and not previously presented at this Festival, may be submitted to the competition. Consideration will be given to films that have premiered in Hellín during this edition.

2. Theme
The theme will be free. Films spoken in any language or dialect will be accepted. Films not spoken in Spanish must be subtitled in this language in a mandatory manner (with subtitles printed on the video itself), being an indispensable condition for their acceptance.

3. Jury
The jury that will decide the prizes among the selected films will be formed by professionals from the cinematographic and performing arts environment. It will be chosen by the convening entity among people of recognized prestige, not being made public its members until the day of the ruling.

4. Pre-selection
Participants will upload their entries to the FESTHOME platform, assuming any associated costs. The deadline for submitting proposals is July 21st to September 16sep, 2025.

5. Project Selection
The FECHE management will establish a technical committee responsible for selecting, from among all the proposals received, those that will be entered into the competition. The decision will be communicated to interested parties within 15 days after the committee meeting, which will make its decision before October 10, 2025.

6. Payment for Selection
A payment is established for the selection of:
Feature films: €40
Short films: €25
Documentaries: €25

7. Delivery of the work
The films that are selected must be sent for download, in a minimum resolution of 1920 x 1080 -1080p-. In addition to the short film in digital format, the shipment must contain the poster, 2 frames of the film and a photograph of the director in .JPG format.
All this must be delivered or sent, before October 11, unless the FESTHOME platform allows its download, to the following address: feche.hellin@gmail.com

8. Awards
The following awards will be given:

JURY AWARD FOR BEST SHORT FILM. Statuette and €400
SPECIAL AUDIENCE AWARD FOR BEST SHORT FILM. Statuette and €300
SPECIAL JURY AWARD "MIRADA RURAL". Statuette and €250

BEST ACTOR AWARD. Statuette and €300

9. Special audience award
The audience award will be voted among the shortfilms presented in the Official Section, never among those presented in the Local Section. Voting will be allowed to those people who demonstrate their attendance at all screening sessions by stamping.
The special prize "Rural look" will be chosen with the votes of those attending the projections that take place in districts.
The special prize for the children's public will be chosen among the schoolchildren attending the morning sessions aimed at schools

10. Copyright and Reproduction
The films presented will remain in the possession of the festival for incorporation into the festival's archive. The films not selected will become part of the audiovisual archive of the festival, and may be used, after communication to the production company, for exhibition in events parallel to the festival. The producers and/or filmmakers of the selected short films authorize the use of a fragment of the works (maximum three minutes), for their dissemination as an informative subject in any media, including the Internet.
The films selected for the competition will appear in the catalogue of the Festival Internacional de Cine de Hellín and will be screened in public sessions within the dates of its celebration.

11. Jury decision
The decision of the Jury will be final. The producers and / or filmmakers of the short films presented expressly authorize the projection of the same in the sessions of the festival without the organization being obliged any type of compensation. All participants, by virtue of being so, fully accept these rules, as well as the resolution of any problem not included in them by the organization.

12. Festival
FECHE will be held from November 15th to 21st, 2025, in Hellín.
All screenings will take place from November 15th to 22nd, 2025.
The awards ceremony and screening of the winning short films will take place on November 21st, 2025.

13. Attendance at the Closing Ceremony
If you are the winner of one of the prizes, the participant agrees to collect the prize in person at the Closing Ceremony to be held on November 21 at 8:00 p.m. in Hellín (Albacete), travel expenses and accommodation will be borne by the festival. If you are unable to attend, the winner will have to send someone on their behalf to collect their prize.

14. Payment of Prizes
Prizes will be paid via invoice and must be paid before December 31, 2025.
