Welcome to IMAGINATION FILMS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2027

Imagination Films, one of the renowned film production companies, is going to organize its 4th Imagination Films International Festival (IFIF) 2027.

Imagination Films has produced the feature film “Main Vaada Nibhahu” and the short film “My Mother My World,” which has received 22 awards, 20 official selections and 2 honorable mentions at various film festivals.

OUR FESTIVAL JOURNEY

The 1st Imagination Films International Festival 2024 was successfully conducted at Hotel Central Park, Bhilai, on 25th August 2024. The festival received 53 films from 25 countries.

The 2nd Imagination Films International Festival 2025 was conducted on 8th June 2025 at the same venue, Hotel Central Park, Bhilai. The festival received nearly three times the entries compared to its first edition, with 147 entries from 40 countries.

The 3rd Imagination Films International Festival 2026 was successfully conducted in Bhilai on 16th August 2026. The 3rd edition witnessed a remarkable international response, receiving 331 projects from 51 countries across 19 categories.

This tremendous growth from 53 entries in 2024 to 331 projects in 2026 reflects the increasing recognition and international reach of the Imagination Films International Festival.

Now, we are delighted to announce the 4th Imagination Films International Festival 2027, continuing our journey of bringing together filmmakers, artists and creative storytellers from India and across the globe.

With every edition, IFIF strives to provide a larger platform for emerging filmmakers, independent artists and storytellers to showcase their creativity and imagination to an international audience.

From 53 films in 2024 → 147 entries in 2025 → 331 projects from 51 countries in 2026.

OBJECTIVE OF IFIF

The objective of the Imagination Films International Festival (IFIF) is to empower short filmmakers across the globe and nurture the development of emerging and new filmmakers.

IFIF provides an international platform for filmmakers to showcase their creativity, talent and unique storytelling abilities and to connect with audiences and fellow filmmakers from around the world.

Along with Short Films, Short Documentaries, Music Videos and Short Animation Films, filmmakers are invited to submit their creative works in the categories announced for the 4th edition of IFIF 2027.

PROMOTING REGIONAL ART & CULTURE

IFIF is committed to nurturing and promoting regional art, culture and filmmaking.

We believe that local artists and filmmakers should have an equal opportunity to showcase their talent on an international platform.

Therefore, filmmakers can submit their short films and music videos in the Chhattisgarhi language. English subtitles are optional for films made in Hindi and Chhattisgarhi.

We also encourage filmmakers from Chhattisgarh to showcase the rich cultural heritage, stories and artistic expressions of the region.

All participants will receive certificate of participation in digital format.

RULES & TERMS
1. FILM duration
Short Film / Documentary Film: 1 minute to 40 minutes
Music Video / Album: 1 minute to 10 minutes

2. language & subtitleS

Films can be in any language but must be subtitled in english.

english subtitles are optional for films made in Hindi or Chhattisgarhi.

3. PRODUCTION YEAR

Films/Projects completed on or after 01 January 2024 are eligible to apply for the 4th Imagination Films International Festival 2027 (IFIF 2027).

4. MULTIPLE ENTRIES

A filmmaker can submit any number of entries.

However, a separate submission form and separate entry fee must be submitted for every entry.

For student projects, a valid Student ID must be submitted.

5. WITHDRAWAL & REFUND

Once a film has been submitted, it cannot be withdrawn, and the submission fee is non-refundable.

6. OFFICIAL SELECTION

After a film has been officially selected, the filmmaker will be notified.

The selected film may subsequently be listed on the festival website and social media platforms under Official Selections.

Official Selection does not necessarily mean that the film will be screened at the festival.

Official Selection means that the film has been appreciated and selected by the festival's judging panel. Selected filmmakers may use the official festival logo/laurel on their promotional material, subject to festival guidelines.

7. PROMOTIONAL USE

For promotional and publicity purposes, excerpts of any submitted film, of a maximum duration of 1 minute, may be used by IFIF on a non-commercial basis for promoting the festival and the selected films.

8. FESTIVAL DIGITAL ARCHIVE

IFIF 2027 reserves the right to retain a copy of selected films in the festival's digital archive.

Selected films may also be considered for future non-commercial screenings, subject to the festival's policies.

9. ACCEPTANCE OF FILMS

The Festival Committee reserves the right to accept or refuse any film without assigning any reason whatsoever.

Category Classification:
The Festival reserves the right to reclassify or change the category of any submitted Film/Project, at its sole discretion, if deemed appropriate based on the nature, content, format, or eligibility of the submission.

10. NOTIFICATION OF SELECTION

Only the Directors/Producers of selected films will be notified.

The list of selected films and winners will be published through the festival's official social media platforms, official portal and website.

11. JURY DECISION

The decision of the Jury regarding film selection and awards shall be final and binding.

No correspondence regarding the Jury's decision will be entertained.

12. CHANGES TO FESTIVAL PROGRAMME

The Festival Committee reserves the right to change deadlines, programmes, venues, schedules and dates, if necessary.

13. COPYRIGHT & TRADEMARK

The Festival Authority does not take responsibility for copyrighted materials included in submitted films.

IFIF 2027 will not be held responsible for any unauthorized inclusion of copyrighted and/or trademarked content or materials within or relating to the submitted project, including any content or materials that may become the basis of any third-party claim relating to copyright infringement, trademark infringement, trademark dilution or unfair competition.

The filmmaker/producer submitting the film shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary rights, permissions and clearances for the content submitted.

14. TRAVEL, LODGING & OTHER EXPENSES

IFIF 2027 does not take any financial responsibility for expenses incurred by participants in connection with correspondence, travel or participation in the festival.

All travel, lodging, boarding and other miscellaneous expenses shall be borne by the participant.

No request for reimbursement of such expenses will be entertained.

15. DELEGATE REGISTRATION

Filmmakers and delegates attending IFIF 2027 may be required to complete delegate registration.

Hospitality charges, wherever applicable, will be communicated by the Festival Management.

ENTRY FEE & SUBMISSION

If you are submitting your film through Festhome, there is no need to send any additional material to us unless specifically requested by the Festival Management.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Entries must be submitted in PAL format only.

NTSC format is not accepted.

The video must be submitted in:

.MP4, or
.MOV

The Festival Management will not be responsible if a film cannot be screened due to technical problems, incorrect file format, damaged media or issues with a pen drive or other storage device supplied by the participant.
