Drag Me To Fest is the independent horror film festival that lights up Milan with a unique and engaging showcase. Founded in November 2021 through the collaboration of Joe Godoy Gonzalez, Art Director and creator of the horror site Non Aprite Questo Blog, and Chiara Natalini, filmmaker and curator of the Diaiaui series, the festival serves as a shining beacon for horror enthusiasts.

Located in the heart of Milan, Drag Me To Fest celebrates independent horror cinema by highlighting works from bold and innovative directors, both Italian and international. Aiming to rediscover and enhance the collective experience of cinema, the festival creates a unique environment where the magic of the big screen is shared and enjoyed live.

The festival takes place in an exceptional venue: Santeria di via Paladini 8, an iconic 500 sqm space in Milan featuring an outdoor courtyard, bar/bistro, record shop, bookstore, and a room dedicated to exhibitions, concerts, literary presentations, and, of course, film screenings. This vibrant and versatile setting provides the ideal context for an event that blends horror cinema with Milan’s cultural and artistic scene.

Sponsored by the clothing brand Taboo, the film label Rustblade Records, and the horror site NAQB, Drag Me To Fest is much more than just a festival; it’s a celebration of creativity and innovation in the horror film landscape. Feature Films Category

● Eligibility: All horror/thriller feature films are accepted, including all subgenres.

● duration: The maximum allowed duration is 120 minutes, including end credits.

● Year of Production: Films must have been produced no earlier than the year 2024.

● language and subtitles: Films not in Italian must have english or Italian subtitles.


Short Films Category

● Eligibility: All horror/thriller short films are accepted, including all subgenres.

● duration: The maximum allowed duration is 20 minutes, including end credits.

● Year of Production: Films must have been produced no earlier than the year 2024.

● language and subtitles: Films must have english or Italian subtitles.


Festival Information

● Place and Date: The festival will take place in Milan on November 29 and 30, 2025.

General Conditions

● Rights of the Work: By submitting the work, the author declares to own all the necessary rights on the work and releases the festival from any liability.

● Promotional Use: By submitting, you grant Drag Me To Fest the right to use excerpts of the films and trailers for promotional purposes.

● Screening Authorization: Those who submit the film or script guarantee to have the authorization to present the work at the festival.

● No Screening Fee: By submitting, you agree that the film can be screened without any screening fees.

● Legal Responsibility: By submitting, the author commits to protect the festival from any claims or legal expenses related to copyright, trademarks, credits, advertising, screenings, and damages or losses of the works submitted.

If your film is selected, you will need to provide us with the following material via WeTransfer:

● A copy of the film in HD 1920x1080 h264 mp4
● Signed release form
● english subtitles, both in SRT format and in a transcribed copy containing the timecode.
● Film trailer, maximum 2 minutes.
● A brief synopsis of the film
● Photo and biography of the director
● Digital film cover
● Any backstage photos
● List of cast and crew

Failure to receive all materials in the required formats may result in exclusion from the selection.
