DESCRIPTION

The festival was born in Montecatini in 1950. It stood out for many years, paying particular attention to the great Italian cinema and the works of filmmakers. Over time it has become an important and eagerly awaited event to pay homage to many illustrious Italian performers. The festival is organized by the National Association FEDIC, (Italian Federation of Cineclubs) which thanks to a dense network of professionals and cinema lovers organizes the Italia Film Fedic (Ex Film Video) festival. From 2024 the festival will become international with an opening to new proposals that complement the traditional contest dedicated to authors registered with the FEDIC Federation.

The festival is generalist, including films of any genre, without any political and social preclusions, but giving visibility above all to the less visible films proposed by authors from all over the world. The festival has created a consolidated collaboration with the local administration, offering a cultural device capable of strengthening the prestige of being a UNESCO heritage city.

PRIZES and JURIES - The prizes will be determined by specific juries.

The overall winners of 4 competitions will be awarded the ITALIAFILMFEDIC artistic trophy.

Any special mentions may be identified.

Suspension of the prize is possible.

The prizes will be awarded during the ceremony on Saturday.

A) SECTIONS

• FEDIC WORLD All short films with a duration of up to 25 minutes, of any genre, produced after 01-01-2024 can participate.

• FEDIC ITALIA All short films with a duration of up to 25 minutes, of any genre, produced after 01-01-2024 can participate.

• FEDIC SCHOOL. All films with a duration of up to 25 minutes, of any genre, produced after 01-01-2024 are eligible.

• FEDIC CLUB All short films with a duration of up to 25 minutes, of any genre, produced after 01-01-2024, by FEDIC authors regularly registered in the current year, can participate.

B) REGISTRATION - Registration takes place by completing the official FORM. Registration must be sent to: segreteria@fedic.it and post@sedicicorto.it, by 5/3/2025.

Each Fedic author can present multiple works.

The registration must be accompanied by an MP4 file.

Films must be sent using on-line transfer procedures (We transfer, different clouds, Vimeo Link, etc.).

The Files must necessarily allow the possibility of downloading (with or without a password).

The results of the selections will be published on the FEDIC website by 5-5-2025.

The organizing committee reserves the right to establish the number of works that can be selected.

The selection committee is not required to provide reasons and/or opinions on both admitted and non-admitted films.

C) PARTICIPATION and PERSONAL DATA By participating in the competition, the author authorizes the processing of personal data (law 675/96) contained in the works and complementary material; authorizes the archiving of the works presented at the headquarters of the organizing Association as well as at the Ivrea film library (our associated archive), which undertake to catalog them and make them available for all screenings, events and broadcasts promoted by the Association itself, for cultural and non-commercial. Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of the conditions set out.
The organization reserves the right to suspend or modify the event if this is necessary.

E) REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION – The regularity of registrations for the festival will be notified by the publication of the title of the film on the BLOG: https://italiafilmfedic.blogspot.com/. We therefore ask you to periodically consult the reference page to check your registration and report any anomalies in the transcription of the data.

F) VARIATIONS – The Festival committee may at its sole discretion vary or cancel these regulations without obligations towards the authors who participated.

G) HOSPITALITY– The favorable hospitality conditions will be made known after the deadline for publication of the selected works on the Blog.
