Les Regards de L’ICART returns this year for its 7th edition!

Initiated by cinema enthusiasts in a constant quest for novelty, this film platform aims to reward and showcase the work of young filmmakers for an evening dedicated to short films.

This 7th edition will honor emerging talents from all backgrounds, with a prize of €1500 for the first place winner.

Attention all young filmmakers and aspiring directors, join us at the Cinémathèque Française on March 10, 2025, for a new international selection. Experience cinema on a grand scale!

The Event :

The awards will be presented to the winners after the screening of a selection of films on Monday, March 10, during a special evening at the Cinémathèque Française.

This call for applications is aimed at filmmakers aged 18 to 30 who are in the process of professionalization, as well as enthusiasts and amateur filmmakers.

“Les Regards de l’ICART” represents an opportunity for selected candidates to experience a unique moment and reveal themselves to a cinephile audience and a jury exclusively made up of professionals dedicated to discovering a new generation of filmmakers.

At the end of the evening, the following will be awarded:

- The Grand Prize
- The Best Performance Award
- The Best Direction Award
- The Best Soundtrack Award
- The Coup de Coeur Award

Do you want to participate in the 7th prize of the Regards de l'ICART?

Here are the participation conditions:

- Film created between March 2023 and Decembre 2024

- The short film must be a fiction and/or animation

- Rights holders of the film (directors or producers) must ensure they possess all copyright and related rights

- The director must be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of the film's production

- The film's duration must be between 3 and 15 minutes

- Non-French films must be subtitled in French

- Films already submitted to the festival cannot be resubmitted for this new edition

- For final projects, school authorization is mandatory

- The festival reserves the right to refuse the registration of any film that may disturb public order, offend religious beliefs, or contain pornographic material or incitement to violence

Elements to provide for registration:

- A technical sheet of the short film (duration, image format, completion date, synopsis, team, and partners)

- A biography of the director(s)

- A statement of intent and realization

- The film via private Vimeo or YouTube link (provide password)

If your film is selected, we will ask you for:

- Various communication materials (photos, posters, etc.)

- A DCP format of the project for its screening in theaters during the festival

- subtitles
