12° FESTIVERD – Venezuela: UNIVERSIDADES VERDES
Festival Internacional de Cine y Video Verde de Venezuela abre su convocatoria para la 12° edición a realizarse del 2 al 6 de diciembre de 2024. Podrán presentarse cortometrajes estudiantiles de cualquier latitud, en una única categoría, siempre y cuando versen sobre la temática AMBIENTAL.

Our vision: to become a green film and video festival that, from Venezuela to the world, serves as an example in the creation of loving-parental bonds among all the inhabitants of planet Earth.

Our mission: to offer an alternative to environmental and ecological experiences that aim to rescue parental ties between all biotic and abiotic beings. The exhibition on green audiovisual narratives is interrelated with other streaming, media, transmedia and social network experiences, generating a network of virtual ties that we want to turn into parental ties.

Our Philosophy: We distance ourselves from anthropocentric views and excessive mandates about caring for the environment that end up being anthropocentric traps without an understanding of the biology of love. The use of new technologies, academic and artistic production are the main vehicles for dissemination.

CALL FOR ENTRIES 2024: GREEN UNIVERSITIES
FESTIVERD - Venezuela

International Festival of Green Film and Video of Venezuela opens its call for the 12th edition to be held from December 2 to 6, 2024. SHORT FILMS from any latitude can be submitted, in a single category, as long as they deal with the ENVIRONMENTAL theme.


Rules and regulations

* The call for entries opens on May 25, 2024 and closes on October 25, 2024.

* The organization of the festival will be under the responsibility of the FAMICINE FOUNDATION in alliance with NGOs, entrepreneurs, educational institutions, governmental entities and community spaces.

* Directors (filmmakers) who are currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate university degree are eligible to participate, for which they MUST INDICATE WHEN REGISTERING THE SHORT FILM THE CAREER THEY ARE STUDYING, THE YEAR OR SEMESTER THEY ARE STUDYING AND THE UNIVERSITY WHERE THEY ARE STUDYING.

* The duration of the works will be 15 minutes maximum (including opening and closing credits).

* The accepted format for the exhibition is digital support (mp4, mpg, mov, avi files).

* SHORT FILMS in Spanish or subtitled in Spanish are accepted. The subtitles can be already burned or in .srt format.

* Completed short films between 2022 and 2024 inclusive are accepted. Quality and content exceptions apply for the years 2020 and 2021.

* The entry fee is free of charge.

* Each author may submit up to a maximum of three shortfilms.

* Those who send the SHORT FILM via email must submit a download link, good resolution stills, official poster if available, technical specifications, synopsis, trailer (if available), biofilmography, a photo of the director, and the social networks of the video art and the director.

* Registration in the festival implies the absolute acceptance of these rules.

* By registering the works, the FAMICINE FOUNDATION (organizer of FESTIVERD) is authorized to exhibit them during the festival on the wahustreaming.com website and in the exhibition spaces in the city of Caracas, Venezuela.

* The director is responsible for not affecting the copyrights of third parties and exempts the organizers of FESTIVERD Venezuela from any legal responsibility.

* The applicants responsible for the short films are fully responsible for the intellectual property rights and copyrights. They declare before the organizers of FESTIVERD Venezuela that they are solely responsible for any type of claim or lawsuit concerning the material submitted, and that they expressly agree to indemnify the FAMICINE FOUNDATION against any type of claim or lawsuit, including claims of copyright and/or other rights, attorney's fees, and other costs generated by such circumstances.
