13th FESTIVERD – Venezuela
Festival Internacional de Cine y Video Verde de Venezuela opens its call for entries for the 13th edition, to be held from December 1st to 6th, 2026. Professional and student short films of the documentary, animation, experimental, and fiction genres from any region are welcome, provided they address ENVIRONMENTAL themes.

Our vision: to become a green film and video festival that, from Venezuela to the world, serves as an example in the creation of loving, familial bonds among all inhabitants of planet Earth.

Our mission: to offer an alternative perspective on environmental and ecological experiences that aim to restore familial bonds among all biotic and abiotic beings. The exhibition of green audiovisual narratives is interconnected with other streaming, media, transmedia, and social media experiences, generating a network of virtual connections that we wish to transform into familial bonds.

Our Philosophy: We distance ourselves from anthropocentric perspectives and excessive mandates regarding environmental protection, which ultimately become anthropocentric traps without an understanding of the biology of love. The use of new technologies, academic and artistic production are our primary means of dissemination.

2026 CALL FOR ENTRIES
FESTIVERD – Venezuela

The Venezuelan International Green Film and Video Festival opens its call for entries for its 13th edition, to be held from December 1st to 6th, 2026.

Rules and Regulations

* The call for entries opens on January 30th, 2026 and closes on August 31st, 2026.

* The festival will be organized by the FAMICINE FOUNDATION in partnership with NGOs, entrepreneurs, educational institutions, government entities, and community spaces.

* The maximum duration of the films will be 15 minutes (including opening and closing credits).

* Professional and student short films of the documentary, animation, experimental, and fiction genres from any country are welcome, provided they address ENVIRONMENTAL themes.

* The only accepted format for exhibition is digital (mp4, mpg, mov files). * Short films in Spanish or with Spanish subtitles are accepted. subtitles can be burned into the audio or in .srt format.

* Works produced between 2024 and 2026 inclusive are accepted.

* Submission is free.

* Each author may submit up to three shortfilms.

* Those submitting their SHORT FILM via email (festiverdvenezuela@gmail.com) and through the FESTHOME platform must include a download link, a high-resolution still image, the official poster (if available), technical specifications, synopsis, trailer (if available), filmography, a photo of the director, and the short film's and director's social media links.

* Registration for the festival implies full acceptance of these regulations.

* By registering their work, participants authorize the FAMICINE FOUNDATION (the organizing body of FESTIVERD) to screen their film during the festival period on the website wahustreaming.com and at in-person screening venues in Caracas, Venezuela.

* The director is responsible for ensuring that no third-party copyrights are infringed and releases the organizers of FESTIVERD Venezuela from any legal liability.

* The applicants for the short films assume full responsibility for all intellectual property and copyright rights. They declare to the organizers of FESTIVERD Venezuela that they are solely responsible for any claim or demand concerning the submitted material, and that they expressly agree to indemnify the FAMICINE FOUNDATION against any claim or demand, including claims for copyright and/or other rights, attorney's fees, and other costs incurred as a result.
