if you know, you know...
Guess who's back, ready for another spin of the wheel for the 4th Clapham International Film Festival in 2025.
CIFF screens features and shorts from the cutting edge of the cinematic experience and we are committed to providing a platform for daring independent voices.
Our commitment is not limited to the films we select, and we offer feedback to all submitters if requested. We're proud to have screened many films that have gone through our development process, as well as uncovering rough diamonds and beaming their shine out on the big screen.
The festival is also fun, the main ethos of our work.
In 2025 we're back at it, organising premieres, screenings and events to bring some real magic to our local cinemas. We're slated to occur at some point in September/October, tbc once we're a bit further down the line.
Let's make it happen.
In 2024 we awarded the White Rabbit award for best emerging filmmaker. The prize was a unique statue commissioned by a world class artist. The jury consisted of Oscar winners, creative entrepreneurs and everything in between. The prize included production support, kit rental credit and software licenses.
In 2025, we will be curating a competition (or competitions) based on the films that we receive and what we think is correct. We gotta keep you on your toes.
By submitting your film to the Clapham International Film Festival, you are entering into an agreement with all of the festival’s terms and conditions. Mainly, you’re agreeing that if we select your work, you grant us permission to exhibit your work in public and on our online platforms.
Entries are open to every filmmaker on Earth, and we have a local category for those who can demonstrate their connection to Clapham.
We wish to see films produced over the last 18 months. If you wish to submit older work, you will need to explain in your cover letter why we should be watching something from the archive.
We also do premieres, and craft bespoke events that fit the story of your film's production.
Submissions should be in English, or have English subtitles attached. If your film isn’t in English and doesn’t have any subtitles, our ability to evaluate it becomes compromised and we won’t be able to consider it.
If you send a film into our free category and it doesn't align with what we are looking for, we reserve the right to disqualify the film from consideration (I understand its expensive to do festival submissions, but please don't take the mickey we have to watch a lot of films).
We wish to support all submitting filmmakers regardless of selctions status and offer our feedback on all entries if requested.

If you have a short film that you consider funny, then we're rather keen to see it. Funny in this instance could mean comedy, or it could be just a little funny. Either way, we want to see it.

Yeah, we know, AI makes films and loads of people are making films with the tech......so what? What else is being made from the cutting edge of technological computational innovation? Last edition we enjoyed a screening at the Turing Institute, so it better be good. Please don't send us a 2 hour AI feature as they tend to be horrendous and there's only so much time in a day.
