Submissions Open January 1st, 2025


We are thrilled to announce that submissions will open on January 1st, 2025. The festival is open to all filmmakers, but we are placing a special emphasis on films made in Maine by Maine filmmakers. Whether you’re an established filmmaker or just starting out, this is your chance to showcase your work and compete for awards and prizes in various categories.



Special Guests and Q&A Sessions


In addition to the incredible films, Chaos Film Festival will feature special guests, including filmmakers and industry professionals. These guests will participate in Q&A sessions following select screenings, offering a unique opportunity to dive deeper into the creative process and engage with the artists behind the films.

Possible Cash Prizes

By submitting your film to the Chaos Film Festival, you allow us to feature your film on our website and in promotional materials related to the event, including the use of your film’s title and images for marketing.

Once your film is accepted, it cannot be removed from the festival lineup. You are responsible for ensuring that all necessary screening materials are submitted to the festival at least four weeks before the event begins.

If your film is having its World Premiere at Chaos Film Festival, please notify us so we can promote it as such.

We encourage you to keep us updated on any changes or developments regarding the production or marketing of your film.

Upon acceptance, Chaos Film Festival reserves the right to use up to 60 seconds of footage from your film for promotional purposes.

By submitting, you agree to hold harmless and indemnify Chaos Film Festival and its affiliates from any legal claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees and court costs) related to copyright issues, trademarks, credits, publicity, screening, or the loss or damage of submitted materials.

Must be at least 18 years old, or have consent from a parent or legal guardian.
