Festival start: 15 May 2025      Festival end: 29 June 2025

We are a small festival that started with the sole objective of supporting and disseminating the many short films that are created year after year all over the world. To support new and not so new authors.

We are a group of film fanatics and our festival is not for profit but to enjoy and have a good time, that's why we have chosen Humour, Comedy and Smile as the genre to take the reins of our adventure. This is our first edition, we hope there will be many more.

Me Mondo Fest. seeks to share audiovisual creation in short film format with as many people as possible and to support the short film as a form of creativity in itself and not just as a means to reach feature films.
We seek to bring film screenings and audiovisual art closer to the general public by trying to move away from the usual cinemas and venues for this medium. Taking the projectors out of the cinemas and placing the moving image in different environments that provide a different way of assimilating the works.

- Winner Best Comedy Short Film:
- FRONKONSTIN DORADO Trophy
- Cumulative Box Office Reverse Box Office from all screenings.
(Cumulative undetermined cash prize)
- Diploma accredited by the Festival

- Best Idea Award: Accreditation Diploma
- Award for the Best Idea: Accreditation Diploma

RULES AND REGULATIONS SHORT FILM FESTIVAL ME MONDO FEST. 2025.

1.- Any short film can participate in the festival regardless of its nationality.

2.- The short films that do not have audio in Spanish must have subtitles in Spanish. In any case, the subtitles will be embedded in the image/video (not in independent files).

3.- The maximum duration of the works will be 20 minutes including credits. All works that exceed this length will be automatically eliminated.

4.- The short films must have an exclusively Humor or Comedy theme, being able to be in any genre (horror, thriller, documentary, mockumentary, etc...) but always with a comedy orientation.

5.- The festival will value the originality and the idea over any technical aspect that although it will be taken into account will have a secondary value against the idea.

6.- Works with dates prior to 1/1/2023 will not be admitted, that is to say, only works made between 1/1/2023 and 1/1/2025 will be admitted.

7.- The works submitted must not have been selected in previous editions of Me Mondo Fest.

8.- The registration period will be from January 15 to April 15 before 23:59 hours.

9.- The short films will be submitted on-line exclusively through the festival's FESTHOME platform.

10. - The organization reserves the right to keep a copy of the participating short film in order to use it for archiving, promotion, and/or advertising or screenings and exhibitions of short films made by ME MONDO FEST.

11. - The participant consents to the reproduction and projection of his work as many times as necessary for the realization of the festival ME MONDO FEST and possible parallel activities to the festival for the sole purpose of its dissemination and promotion.

12.- The organization reserves the right to exhibit the short film submitted to the festival in short film screenings organized by CINE SIN COMPLEXOS (Cineclub) within the programming of events and activities, as well as in the Festival ME MONDO FEST, in order to meet the main objective: the dissemination and promotion of the short film.

13 .- The costs of submission and shipping of works shall be borne by the participant if any (currently there is no cost of any kind by the participant).

14.- Depending on the number of participants, a pre-selection will be made by the festival based on quality, originality and relevance to the rules and the festival.

15.- Depending on the number of short films selected, different public screenings will be created with a minimum of 2 screening sessions and an indicative maximum of 8 sessions. The selected participants as well as the schedule of the sessions will be made public on social networks and on the festival's website. www.memondofest.com

16.- 4 popular judges, volunteers or chosen from the audience, will be the ones who will decide the finalist short films with the sum of their votes in each of the sessions. The juries will vote from 0 to 100 for each of the short films viewed and will be obliged to watch the whole session.

17.- The 6 short films with the highest number of votes by the popular jury will be the finalists. In case the sum of the lengths of the short films does not exceed the 60 minutes suitable for the final session, as many short films as necessary will be added to the final until this length is exceeded (always according to the list of the most voted short films). The participants selected for the final as well as the programme of the session will be made public in the social networks and in the festival website. www.memondofest.com

18.- The final screening session will be juried by: A professional jury (people related to the world of culture, cinema or comedy) of 2 to 4 members with one vote each. The vote of the professional jury will be public. The public will have a voice, giving one vote for the favourite and one vote for the runner-up. The MeMondoFest festival will give a vote to the favourite. And the Cine sin Complejos film club will also give a vote to their favourite.

19.- There will be an extra vote in the final for the participants who send a video presenting their short film in the final and specifically mention Me Mondo Fest. Participants will be notified in advance of this possible benefit so that they can make a video presentation in any usable format.

20.- The short film with the most votes will be declared the winner at the final screening session. The prizes for best idea and the ida de Olla prize will also be awarded.
In the event of a tie of any kind, the winner will be the short film with the shortest running time.

21.- The prizes will be those that appear on the festival website (www.memondofest.com) in the prizes section.

22.- The participant accepts the above rules when registering for the festival.
