SESTRIERE SPORT AWARDS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (2)

The Cinema e Arte Association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Sestriere, organizes “SESTRIERE SPORT AWARDS Film Festival", an international competition on sports cinema.

It will be a cinema event in which directors, independent directors, film companies and private productions will have the chance to participate by sending works such as fictions, commercials, short and feature films, documentaries, animated films and television programs, through an international competition call. The event’s theme will be the world of sports, expressed in all of its disciplines and events, great achievements, sports culture, the lives and stories of the characters who more than others have excited the public with their great achievements.

Awards and plaques.

Art. 1 – The Cinema e Arte Association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Sestriere, organizes “SESTRIERE SPORT awards Film Festival", an international competition on sports cinema.

It will be a cinema event in which directors, independent directors, film companies and private productions will have the chance to participate by sending works such as fictions, commercials, short and feature films, documentaries, animated films and television programs, through an international competition call. The event’s theme will be the world of sports, expressed in all of its disciplines and events, great achievements, sports culture, the lives and stories of the characters who more than others have excited the public with their great achievements.

Art. 2 – Each producer can submit one or more films at the Festival. Films submitted to the competition must have been produced after January 1, 2020.

Art. 3 – The Festival will take place in Sestriere at the Fraiteve cinema, from July 21st to 25th, 2026.
The chosen movies will be screened according to the exclusive methods and program of the Festival Direction.

Art. 4 – The Organizing Committee designates the Selection Commission, the only responsible for the admission of films into competition (its decision is final), and the Jury, responsible for awarding prizes to the competing films.

Art. 5 – The films submitted to the Jury cannot be withdrawn or replaced for any reason, except in cases where the Festival Direction deems it necessary to make an exception in the main interest of the event itself.

In addition to the movie, these enclosures are required to complete the submission:

- Entry form filled in and signed in.

- Italian subtitles are very appreciated if the film is in a foreign language.

- Complete technical and artistic data sheet, in word or pdf format.

- Synopsis of the film mandatory in Italian and english, in word or pdf format.

- Max 3 minutes long trailer.

- Author’s bio and complete filmography.

- At least 5 photographs of the film in digital format (maximum weight 5 MB).

- Posters and any other promotional material, in digital format.

Art. 6 – The movie must be sent in MPEG4 - H264 - MP4 - MP4 format (the weight of the file must not exceed 5 GB) to the address:info@cinema-arte.it using sites such as www.wetransfer.com, www.filemail.com, or any other program for sending heavy files, not later than May 30, 2026.

Art. 7 – The Organizing Committee will communicate to the authors of the works admitted to the contest the screening date of their film. Among them, only the authors of the award-winning films will be informed of the win. The directors will receive recognition such as plaques, cups and works of art.

Art. 8 –There will be no refunds of any kind relating to the screening of the film.

Art. 9 – The authors and/or the production authorize the publication of their data on the website and on the catalogue and their diffusion to media for promotion.

Art. 10 –Films received for selection will become part of the SESTRIERE SPORT awards Film Festival film library, established at the Association headquarters.

Art. 11 – Signing up to participate in the Competition implies the full acceptance of the Regulation.

Art. 12 – For any cases and/or disputes not covered by this Regulation, the Organizing Committee is responsible.
