The PUCHO DORADO 2025 Festival calls for the international video clip competition. We invite musicians, filmmakers, producers, record companies and bands from all over the world to submit their works until June 30, 2025 via the Festhome platform.

This international video clip festival is an international platform that celebrates the creation and dissemination of video clips as an essential artistic expression within the musical universe. Our purpose is to promote the production of audiovisual works that fuse music and image with an authorial vision, promoting the talent of filmmakers, bands and artists from various latitudes.

Through an open call at a local and international level, PUCHO DORADO seeks to consolidate itself as a meeting space for new audiovisual narratives, where the videoclip is recognized as a creative piece with its own identity, capable of expanding the aesthetic, cultural and technological limits of contemporary music.

PRIZE

The Jury will determine the best video clip of the festival, who will be awarded the GOLDEN PUCHO statuette, plus a cash prize.

PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

Original productions supported by the audiovisual representation of a song, of any genre or style, released between January 2024 and June 2025 may participate in this competition. Both national and international productions are welcome (with Spanish subtitles required for non-Spanish language works).
Extracts or extensions from other audiovisual productions will not be accepted in this section.

SUBMISSIONS

Each director may submit a maximum of three (3) videoclips, one per category.

The duration of each piece must not exceed 5 minutes.
The video must be submitted in Full HD quality, h.264 codec, and mp4 format.

All submitted works must have the artist's image rights authorization, as well as the exhibition rights of both the song and the videoclip.

The author is responsible for ensuring that no third-party copyrights are infringed and releases the organization from any legal responsibility.

National videoclips have no registration fee in any category.

Participation in the PUCHO DORADO 2025 Festival competition implies full acceptance of the conditions described above.

CATEGORIES
Participants may apply to one of the following three categories:

CORTE FINAL (Final Cut):
For professionally produced videoclips that stand out for their narrative, aesthetic, and technical quality, made with high audiovisual standards.

REGISTRO EN VIVO (Live Performance):
Videoclips capturing live performances, blending the energy of the show with an audiovisual narrative that highlights the connection between the music, the artist, and the audience.

CLIP DE BOLSILLO (Best Videoclip Made on Mobile):
This category aims to democratize audiovisual production, rewarding creativity and the innovative use of smartphones for the creation of videoclips.

SELECTION

Pre-selection:
A team from the Festival’s organization will evaluate all applications received by June 30, 2025. The pre-selection will be based on musical quality, audiovisual narrative, production design, technical quality, and mise-en-scène.

Official Selection:
In a joint evaluation, members of the Festival team and the jury will select the videoclips that will form part of the Official Selection.

The selected works will be exhibited in person on October 1, 2025, at a venue in Concepción, Chile.
Afterward, the selected videoclips will be part of a traveling exhibition and will be promoted across the Festival's platforms, including television and social media.

All finalists will receive Industry Accreditations to the Festival and invitations to both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Finalists must provide the Festival with a high-quality screening file of their work, in Full HD or 4K format.

JURY

The official jury for PUCHO DORADO Festival and its associated categories will be composed of professionals from the audiovisual industry. The jury members will be announced in August on the Festival’s website. The jury's decision will be final and unappealable.

EXHIBITION RIGHTS

Participants agree to cede all exhibition rights of their works to the Festival for distribution on all its platforms until the next edition of the Festival.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

Participation in this competition implies full acceptance of these rules.

The organization reserves the right to interpret, modify, or cancel the competition at any time if justified reasons arise.

The Pucho Dorado International Videoclip Festival is exempt from any legal issues or problems regarding the image rights and the song rights of the submitted music video.

Any changes will be communicated promptly through the Festival’s official channels.
