Loud 'N' Roll Cinema emerges as an international festival dedicated to showcasing and awarding rock music videos, highlighting the fusion of music and cinematic language. More than just a screening event, the festival aims to be a celebration of creativity, where audiovisual storytelling amplifies the power, aesthetics, and attitude of rock.

1 – Introduction
1.1. Loud ’N’ Roll Cinema (LRC) is an international festival dedicated to the exhibition and awards of rock music videos, as well as audiovisual works that engage with music through cinematic language.
1.2. The 2026 edition will take place at the cultural venue CASA½BAR, in Balneário Piçarras – Santa Catarina – Brazil.
1.3. The festival has a cultural nature and offers free public access.
2 – Submission and Eligibility
2.1. Submissions must be made through the Festhome platform or, eventually, through forms provided by the festival organization.
2.2. Works from any country are eligible.
2.3. The curatorial selection will primarily consider music videos whose sound belongs to the rock genre or directly engages with its aesthetics and language.
2.4. Submitted works must have been officially released between January 2022 and April 2026 and must not have been submitted to previous editions of Loud ’N’ Roll Cinema.
2.5. Each artist, director or collective may submit multiple works; however, only one (01) work per artist will be selected, chosen according to the highest score obtained in the internal curatorial evaluation.
2.6. Direct or indirect participation of members of the organization, curatorial team or jury in submitted works is prohibited. If any conflict of interest is identified, the work will be automatically disqualified, with no right to appeal.
3 – Categories, Evaluation and Awards
3.1. Official Categories
The categories are named after birds as a metaphor for the circulation of rock across territories, languages and forms of expression, reflecting its free, migratory and intense nature.
– Arara-Azul – Best Brazilian Rock Music Video
Category dedicated to rock music videos produced in Brazil and performed in Portuguese. It recognizes works that express the cultural, aesthetic and creative diversity of the host country.
– Andorinha-do-mar – Best Rock Music Video in a Foreign Language
Category dedicated to rock music videos produced in any country, including Brazilian productions performed in foreign languages, celebrating the global reach of rock.
– Ave-do-Paraíso – Best Symphonic Film
Presents cinematic works (not configured as traditional music videos) whose narrative is built exclusively through instrumental music and imagery, with no dialogue, narration or vocals.
Works from any country and any musical genre are eligible and are not necessarily linked to rock.
– Uirapuru – Best Instrumental Rock Music Video
Category created in this edition. Dedicated to instrumental rock music videos from any country, in which music fully drives the audiovisual narrative.
3.2. The festival organization reserves the right to create new categories and to modify, adjust or reorganize existing categories according to the curatorial needs of each edition.
3.3. Submitted works may, at the discretion of the curatorial team, be reassigned to the category that best matches their artistic, technical and conceptual characteristics, without affecting their evaluation or eligibility.
3.4. Evaluation Criteria:
- Creativity and originality
- Technical quality
- Visual impact and strength
- Musical quality
- Harmony between music and image
- Coherence with the rock genre (except for the category Ave-do-Paraíso – Best Symphonic Film)
3.5. The festival will grant digital certificates to selected works and special certificates to winning works. Awards are honorary and do not include monetary prizes.
3.6. The organization may establish special
mentions or additional awards at its discretion.
4 – Copyright, Image Rights and Exhibition
4.1. Participants declare that they hold all
copyright and image rights to the submitted works, including soundtrack, images and all audiovisual elements, exempting the organization from any legal responsibility related to third parties.
4.2. The organization may create excerpts of the works exclusively for the promotion of Loud ’N’ Roll Cinema, including the production of marketing and communication materials such as teasers, trailers, promotional spots and institutional content.
4.3. Selected works may be included in the festival program and in institutional promotional actions of Loud ’N’ Roll Cinema, through its official channels and in cultural actions related to the promotion of the event, in this edition or in future editions of Loud ’N’ Roll Cinema.
4.4. The festival does not require exclusivity of the submitted works.
5 – Format and Technical Requirements
5.1. Works must preferably be submitted in MP4
or MOV format, with a minimum resolution of 1080p.
6 – General Provisions
6.1. Submission implies full acceptance of these regulations.
6.2. Any cases not covered by this regulation will be resolved by the festival organization, whose decision is final.
6.3. The festival may change dates, formats or deadlines due to force majeure.
6.4. Amendments to these regulations will be officially communicated on the festival website:www.setebarba.com/lrc
7 – Principles and Values
7.1. Loud ’N’ Roll Cinema supports art as a space for freedom, diversity, dialogue and cultural expression.
7.2. Works that promote hate speech, prejudice, violence or any form of intolerance will not be accepted and will be disqualified.
8 – Communication
8.1. Any exhibition and/or circulation actions outside what is provided in these regulations will only take place through a formal invitation sent exclusively via the email festivallrc@gmail.com, with a copy to setebarba.info@gmail.com. Communications made through other means will not be considered valid.
8.2. All official communication will be published on the website www.setebarba.com.br and on the social network www.instagram.com/lrcinema.
