1.0 General requirements for entry

1.1 Films are eligible for Firm Film Festival competitions if:

• The film is longer than 30 minutes for feature films category.

• The film is no longer than 30 minutes for short films category.

• The film is all around the world.

• The film for selection can be in any language with english subtitles. If your film is selected for the public screening we will ask you to provide a screening copy with Spanish subtitles.

• The film is from any year.

1.2 Entry fee
- All fees are non-refundable.

1.3 Requested materials for entry:

- A completed online entry form. A printed version is not required.

We don’t accept file transfers, Google Drive or Dropbox links to watch the entries.

Please note: there is no additional documentation required for the entry. Please do not send any additional press sheets or documentation.

2.0 Competitions

2.1 The Firm Film Festival Competition programmes will be selected by a designated selection committee.

2.2 Firm Film Festival competitions and awards:

3.0 Selection and screenings

3.1 In case a film is selected, the Festival will notify the primary contact of the film. Once your film has been selected, the Firm Film Festival logo/laurel will be send for publicity purposes. This file will be sent to you in digital form.

3.2 For promotion of the whole selection and of each selected film, the festival website is allowed to use any still or digital film clip (less than 10% of the film’s duration up to a max of 3 minutes).The Festival is also entitled to use the before mentioned excerpts from selected films for promotional purposes nationally and internationally.

3.3 The Festival has the right to screen selected films during the festival without paying any screening fees.

3.4 General scheduling and timetabling of the public screenings are entirely at the discretion of the Festival management.

4.0 Conclusion

4.1 Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of these regulations and decisions made by the management and board. The management and/or board of the Firm Film Festival decide in all cases where the regulations do not suffice. The judges' decision will not be open to appeal.

4.2 The management and/or board of the Festival can always decide on exceptions of the regulations.

4.3 The entrant guarantees to have cleared all (intellectual property) rights needed for screening during Firm Film Festival and shall indemnify the Festival against all liability towards third parties.
