Festival start: 22 August 2025
Festival end: 24 August 2025
WINECAST is an international film and wine festival set in Georgia, celebrating the unique blend of cinema, viticulture and gastronomy.
The festival offers curated screenings of films from around the world, with a special focus on wine- and gastronomy-related cinema, alongside tastings and exhibitions featuring exceptional Georgian and international wines.
WINECAST also hosts industry events for both the film and wine sectors, including workshops, masterclasses, and networking opportunities.
With live music, vibrant parties, rich cultural programming, gastronomic experiences, tastings, and open-air screenings and many more, WINECAST is a must-visit for filmmakers, wine lovers, and travelers seeking an unforgettable experience in one of the world’s oldest winemaking regions.
We are looking for films that our audience of film lovers will truly enjoy — from any genre, any length, and covering any theme. We provide cash prizes to the winners and warmly invite all selected filmmakers to present their films and take part in the festival experience. While we do not cover travel expenses, we are pleased to offer airport transfers, hotel accommodations, tours, and an all-inclusive festival pass — including dinners, happy hours, concerts, masterclasses, tastings, and more — to make your visit unforgettable.
Each year, WINECAST begins in the vibrant capital city, Tbilisi, and then moves to a key location within the main region of that year.
In 2025, our main location is Château Mukhrani. The festival will start in Tbilisi before moving to this historic Georgian winery and palace, celebrated for its rich winemaking tradition, stunning architecture, and beautiful vineyards.
WINECAST promises an experience unlike any other festival — one that all our guests will remember forever. Beyond the screenings, you’ll enjoy the finest wines, rich culture, delicious Georgian food, soulful music, stunning nature, and many more unforgettable moments celebrating the magic of film and wine.

IF ACCEPTED
• Accepted filmmakers will be notified via email, phone or text. Filmmakers must confirm their participation by the given deadline, otherwise they might lose their spot in the line-up.
• Accepted filmmakers must be the authors of their submitted work and be ready to sign an agreement stating that they own all rights to their film and its components ahead of screening at Slamdance.
• If accepted, entrants are responsible for delivering their festival exhibition copy, trailer, screener link, press stills and press-kit on time.
• All accepted films must have Closed Captioning in English ready in time for their festival screening. We highly recommend you work on this while you wait for your festival acceptance since it will make your film more accessible to audiences wherever it may be shown.
• If accepted, filmmakers are expected to attend the festival.
• We do not cover filmmakers' travel expenses; however, we offer hotel accommodations and an all-inclusive pass for the festival, which includes dinners, happy hours, concerts, and more.
• We don't provide screening fees.
HOW WE PROGRAM
• Deliberating programmers determine a festival selection through discussion and voting.
• Each participating programmer has an equal vote and no festival competition selections are made outside of this process.
• Our programmers are not required to read submission cover letters and other supporting materials, but we encourage you to submit them in case they want to learn more about you and your work.
• We don't share programming feedback with entrants.
• Our decisions are final.
