In the city of El Bolsón, since 2016, students of the Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual Artistic Design (LDAA) at the National University of Río Negro (UNRN) have concluded their studies with a festival open to the community, a celebration of audiovisual encounters and making that is renewed each year. This is the Audiovisual Artistic Festival, or, simply and lovingly, the FAA!. An event organized and managed entirely by the students of the program, it has managed to sustain and position itself for 11 years as one of the most important audiovisual festivals in Patagonia.

FAA! Audiovisual Arts Festival calls for submissions of productions made by students, filmmakers, and creators from the Patagonian Region, the rest of Argentina, and abroad.

COMPETITION REGISTRATION DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 21, 2026.

Our goal is to promote audiovisual works and build connections between different universities, schools, production companies, and filmmakers, fostering exhibition and discussion spaces open to the community.

GLOBAL STUDENT SHORT FILMS
MUSIC VIDEOS AND VIDEO DANCE
ANIMATION
The categories mentioned above must meet the following technical specifications:

Resolution: Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels)
Frame rate: 25 FPS (frames per second)
File format: .MOV or .MP4
Video codec: H.264 (standard compression for compatibility and good quality)
Maximum bitrate: 10 Mbps (10,000 kbps)
Important: Works in post-production stage will not be accepted. All pieces must be finalized and ready for exhibition.

This category is exclusively for elementary, middle, high school, and university students who have made short films both within Argentina and the rest of the world. Works completed from 2024 onward that have not been selected or awarded in previous editions of the festival (FAA!) are eligible. The call is open to all genres and themes, with no restrictions regarding country, narrative style, language, or cultural background.

Material made by minors must be authorized by an adult, either from the institution or a family member.

This category is intended for filmmakers, choreographers, or artistic collectives from both Argentina and abroad. Works completed from 2024 onward that have not been selected or awarded in previous editions (FAA!) are accepted.

The material may be of any musical genre, style, or choreographic language with diverse approaches: experimental, narrative, performative, interdisciplinary as long as the body and movement are central elements of the audiovisual language.

This category is intended for filmmakers, choreographers, or artistic collectives from both Argentina and abroad. Works completed from 2024 onward that have not been selected or awarded in previous editions (FAA!) are accepted.

The material may be of any musical genre, style, or choreographic language with diverse approaches: experimental, narrative, performative, interdisciplinary — as long as the body and movement are central elements of the audiovisual language.

Works must not exceed a maximum duration of 7 minutes, including titles and credits.

Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
