KINO PUNK 3X
Itinerant Punk and Antifascist Film Festival

Kino Punk 3X is an itinerant festival dedicated exclusively to the screening of short films of resistance. Focusing on fiction and documentary works, the festival promotes a curatorship centered on independent productions with a critical, anti-authoritarian, anti-capitalist, and antifascist perspective.

The festival consists of three public showcases throughout the year, followed by a final edition with an audience vote, where the Best Fiction Short and the Best Documentary Short are chosen.

All screenings are free of charge and open to the public. The film selection is carried out by the festival’s curatorial team.

Kino Punk 3X is a space for rupture, provocation, and gathering. A festival for films that disturb, confront, and resist.

AWARDS

Kino Punk 3X is composed of three competitive showcases throughout the year, each featuring a curated selection of fiction and documentary shorts. In each showcase, the following awards are given:

Best Fiction Short

Best Documentary Short

These winners qualify for the Final Showcase – End of the Line, held in December, which brings together the best films from the three previous stages.

In the final showcase, the films are screened once more in a single session and compete against each other. The decision is made through an audience vote by those attending the screening.

The choice belongs to the audience. The festival does not grant honorable mentions or parallel awards.

RULES AND TERMS

Accepted Format
Kino Punk 3X exclusively accepts short films in the genres of fiction and documentary.

Maximum Duration
Films must not exceed 20 minutes, including credits.

Mandatory Theme
We only accept films aligned with one or more of the following perspectives:

antifascist

anti-authoritarian

anti-capitalist

popular autonomy

social critique

punk culture

political struggles

resistance and insurgency

Priority will be given to works that contribute to public debate and the construction of radical and emancipatory imaginaries.

Not Accepted
Films containing any of the following will be automatically disqualified:

hate speech

praise of authoritarian regimes

racism, sexism, LGBTQ-phobia, xenophobia, ableism, or any form of oppression

Submission

Submissions are free of charge

Period: from September 2025 until September 2026

Films may be selected for any of the three official showcases

Submitting a film implies full agreement with all the terms of these regulations

Screenings

All screenings are public and free of charge

Films may be shown in different cities and partner venues

By submitting a film, you authorize its exhibition within the festival program, without payment of fees or screening royalties

Copyright

Applicants must be the legal copyright holders of the work

The festival is not responsible for copyright infringements committed by the filmmakers

Should the organization identify any irregularity, the film may be disqualified at any time

Promotional Material

Filmmakers authorize the use of excerpts of the film, posters, photos, and synopses for institutional promotion of the festival on social media, press releases, and graphic materials

Such use will always be directly related to the promotion of the work within the context of the festival

Selection and Competition

The festival’s curatorial team is responsible for selecting the films in each showcase

Each showcase (Invasion, Noise, Fury) is competitive, awarding Best Fiction Short and Best Documentary

The winners of the three showcases qualify for the Final Showcase – End of the Line in December

In the final showcase, films compete for the title of Best Short of the Year (fiction and documentary), determined by audience vote

Awards

The organization reserves the right not to award prizes if it determines that none of the films meet the minimum curatorial criteria

The festival does not commit to delivering cash prizes, physical trophies, or gifts, unless previously specified in official communication

The audience’s decision in the Final Showcase is final and not subject to appeal

Disqualification and Cancellation

The festival reserves the right to disqualify films that violate any rule of these regulations

The organization may also cancel screenings or modify dates and formats according to operational needs or external circumstances

Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a film to Kino Punk 3X, the filmmaker declares that they have read, understood, and fully agreed to these regulations.
