The Fashion Cinema Festival was created to shine a spotlight on the art of costume design—an essential element in the magic of filmmaking—and to celebrate the unique connection between fashion and the cinematic world.

Every garment tells a story. Costume design reveals the essence of each character, transforms actors, and brings to life the worlds that only cinema can imagine.

At our festival, we honor the brilliant creators behind costume design and offer experiences, encounters, and activities that showcase the extraordinary work of these artists.

Fashion takes center stage in this section, illuminated through a truly cinematic lens.

4th Fashion Cinema Festival

General Conditions

Objectives

The Fashion Cinema Festival aims to promote and showcase costume design in cinema and the fashion industry.

Festival Dates

The Fashion Cinema Festival will take place from May 26 to May 30 as part of the 23rd Alicante International Film Festival.

Conditions
Students, Spanish production companies, and directors who hold the legal rights to the Fashion Films submitted to the competition may participate.

Registration.

Submitted Fashion Films may choose between two categories:

Fashion Film Talent – for professionals

Fashion Film Next – for students


To participate in the Fashion Cinema section, the following requirements must be met:

The Fashion Film must have a maximum duration of 10 minutes.

Must be recorded in horizontal format 1920 x 1080.

Must have been produced after January 1, 2023.

The storyline of the Fashion Film may be inspired by a real or fictional brand.

A maximum of two works per director will be allowed.

Participation in the Fashion Cinema section implies the transfer of dissemination rights for the submitted images within the scope of the Festival. These materials may be archived by the organization if deemed necessary and with prior agreement with the rights holders.


Awards

Among all Fashion Films submitted, a jury will decide the following awards, which may not be declared void:

Best Fashion Film Talent Award – €300, sponsored by MAGRIT.

Best Fashion Film Next Award – €300.

Participation

To participate in the Fashion Films competition, registration must be completed through the FESTHOME platform before April 5, 2026:

Fashion Film Laurels and Image Use

If a film receives any of the Festival’s awards, it must include a written reference to the award at the beginning of the Fashion Film. This reference must include the name of the prize received and must always be accompanied by the official corporate image (logo and name) of “Fashion Cinema Festival”, which will be provided by the organization.

Film Screenings

The organization of the 4th Fashion Cinema Festival will determine the order and date of the screenings for each Fashion Film.

Once the film has been submitted, it may not be withdrawn from the festival program.

Acceptance of the Rules

Participation implies full acceptance of these Regulations. The interpretation of the rules is the responsibility of the organization of the 4th Fashion Cinema Festival.
