Festival description (Edition: 4)

A selection of 150 short films in different languages from different states across the country has been organized at the National Short Film Festival Ichalkaranji on 31th August 2024.

Rohit Patil, director and producer of Swapna will be the chief guest at the inaugural function. Organized by Disha Foundation here. The film critic from Kolhapur, Dr. Famous painter and director Rajesh Kore from Sagar Baheti, Panaji, producer and director Milind Kalyankar will look after the work.

Prizes and qualifications

All genres welcome: comedy, Animation, Drama, Action, Thriller, Documentary, Social, Horror, Web Series, etc..

» Best Short Film National – Rs. 20000 + Crystal Star Award + Certificate

» Best Documentary – Rs. 1000 + Crystal Star Award + Certificate

» Best Animated – Rs. 1000 + Crystal Star Award + Certificate

» Best Actress – Rs. 1000 + Crystal Star Award + Certificate

» Best Actor – Rs. 1000 + Crystal Star Award + Certificate

» Best children Short Film – Rs. 1000 + Crystal Star Award + Certificate

» Best Director M/F – Rs. 1000 + Crystal Star Award + Certificate

Other Prizes like Cinematography, Supporting Actor/Actress, Editing, Background Music, etc. Only Golden Trophies + Certificates.

Rules

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Filmmaker are required to submit online through via Google_Drive Link or Festhome or Vimeo with Correct Password.

Films in in all genres & any language are acceptable.

Short films & Documentary Films must be 60 minutes or less in length. Running time includes end credits.

Films are acceptable even if they are already online.

No film may be withdrawn from the festival programme after its selection.

SELECTION CRITERION

Winner Film selection will be based on:
Creative and Technical merit – Story line, narrative, Subject treatment, Direction, Technical aspects (i.e., Cinematography, Screenplay, acting, music etc)

COMPLETED SUBMISSIONS INCLUDE:
– Submission fees
– Info about Submitter like Name, Email, City, Contact no. (Optional).
– Film submission with Film Poster, Info about your project, Duration.
