SUBMISSION FEES

All submissions for LifeArt Festival and AI Global Film Festival are to be paid by credit card. Multiple entries are allowed for each filmmaker, and each entry may be submitted in multiple categories. Submission fees are non-refundable under any circumstance.

SUBMISSION FORMAT


Submissions are accepted exclusively via Festhome. Please provide an online link to your submission and ensure that the access password is included in the online submission form.

SUBTITLES


Projects not in English must include English subtitles. Non-English submissions without English subtitles may be disqualified from the competition.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) SUBMISSIONS


Projects that incorporate artificial intelligence—whether partially or entirely generated using AI tools for scripting, animation, direction, editing, voice synthesis, or visual effects—must clearly disclose the use of such technologies in the submission form. The festival welcomes AI-generated and AI-assisted works, provided the creative intent, authorship, and originality are evident.

By submitting an AI-related project, you confirm that you have the rights to all materials used, including datasets, models, voices, and imagery, and that no content infringes upon third-party intellectual property or personal rights.

AI-generated submissions will be judged on artistic merit, innovation, ethical use, and transparency. The festival reserves the right to disqualify entries that use AI deceptively or in violation of copyright, privacy, or ethical standards.

NOTIFICATION


LifeArt Festival endeavors to complete the selection process and inform all submitting parties, in writing, whether or not their film has been selected. Once your film is officially selected, you will receive an email from our programming team requesting digital stills from the film, the director’s biography, and complete production credits.

FESTIVAL SCREENING


Acceptable exhibition formats vary depending on venue and category, and may include DCP and digital media files such as .MOV, .AVI, .MPG, or .M4V. By submitting your film, you agree to work with LifeArt Festival to provide compatible exhibition formats and backup copies if needed. Please clearly indicate whether your film is in PAL or NTSC format. LifeArt Festival strives to provide the highest possible projection quality but assumes no liability for technical issues and does not offer refunds under such circumstances.

SCHEDULING


Screenings are scheduled at the sole discretion of LifeArt Festival. While every effort will be made to adhere to the published schedule, the festival reserves the right to make changes at any time and for any reason. The festival is not responsible for any costs incurred due to schedule changes. No film may be withdrawn from the festival program once it has been selected.

LEGAL


By submitting to LifeArt Festival or AI Global Film Festival, you warrant that you are the sole and exclusive owner of all rights to the submitted film and have the authority to enter it into the festival. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LifeArt Festival, its judges, sponsors, partners, directors, staff, volunteers, and affiliates against any and all claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising out of or in connection with your submission, including third-party claims.

PUBLICITY

By submitting your project to LifeArt Festival or AI Global Film Festival, you agree that if your project is selected, you grant LifeArt Festival the royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive right to use, reproduce, and distribute any publicity materials related to your project. This includes, but is not limited to, stills, biographies, trailers, and press materials, which may be adapted or incorporated into other works and distributed globally across all media now known or hereafter developed.

YOU GRANT


LifeArt Festival is granted the non-exclusive right to screen your film or video as part of the festival. Once selected, films may not be withdrawn from the festival program for any reason. Inclusion in the festival authorizes LifeArt Festival to showcase the film in multiple festival-related screenings, including competition presentations, “Best Of” selections, encore showings, and additional fundraising or promotional events that may occur throughout the year.

You also grant LifeArt Festival and AI Global Film Festival the right to use excerpts from your film—up to 30 seconds for short films and up to 60 seconds for feature-length works—along with stills, trailers, and related promotional content across all digital, print, and broadcast platforms. This includes but is not limited to social media (such as Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok), video streaming services (including YouTube and Vimeo), festival websites, newsletters, press kits, and advertising materials, both online and offline.

This usage is granted royalty-free and without territorial or time restrictions, and is intended solely for promotional and archival purposes related to the LifeArt Festival and AI Global Film Festival. All ticket revenue and related proceeds from festival screenings and events are the property of LifeArt Festival and its affiliates.

FESTIVAL CANCELLATION OR FORCE MAJEURE


LifeArt Festival and AI Global Film Festival reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule the festival, any screening, or related event in whole or in part due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control. Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, public health emergencies (such as pandemics), acts of war or terrorism, government restrictions, technical failures, or other force majeure events. In the event of cancellation or rescheduling, the festival will make reasonable efforts to notify participants and attendees as soon as possible. However, LifeArt Festival and its affiliates shall not be held liable for any costs, damages, or losses incurred by filmmakers, participants, or attendees arising from such cancellations or changes.

Submission fees are non-refundable under these circumstances, and no claims for compensation will be accepted related to festival disruptions caused by force majeure events.

ACCEPTANCE OF REGULATIONS


By submitting your film to LifeArt Festival or AI Global Film Festival, you acknowledge and accept without reservation all terms outlined in this document. This agreement represents the full understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements. No modification shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of LifeArt Festival.
