****THIS IS A VIDEO ART FESTIVAL. SHORT MOVIES WON'T BE ACCEPTED****
It was born with the purpose of promoting video creation as a social cultural wealth and to give
visibility to artists who work in this medium. In this second edition we want to bring together an
ample array of video pieces and offer a sample of the most interesting proposals that are taking
place in the international creative scene which we understand offer a thematic, conceptual or poetic
discourse that reflects the complexity and peculiarity of our time. We want to accommodate all
kinds of technical and aesthetic proposals. We want to offer plurality and variety within the
standards of artistic quality.

The selected videos will be part of Las Cigarreras Cultural Center´s Video Art collection.

These copies may be freely used by the festival's management team at the time, for cultural and informative purposes, always without any economical benefit, and respecting the author's
inalienable rights over their work.

Participants


Artists over 18 years of any nationality may apply to this call.


Calendar and location of events:


All the selected work will be exhibited at the festival, which is celebrated in Alicante on May 28, 29 and 30 year 2020
From 11:00h to 13:00h. And 17:00h to 20:00h.

At the auditorium of MACA (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Alicante)


WORKS


ONLY VIDEOART PIECES. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CINEMATOGRAPHIC MOVIES.


- Each artist or group of creators may present a maximum of two works

- Single-channel only. No longer than 10 minutes duration

- Any locution or written text must be subtitled

- Works made with an earlier date will not be accepted to the year 2018

- The works can be presented in any of the standard formats used currently (AVI, MOV, MP4, MPG, etc.)

- The resolution of the videos must be equal or greater than 720p


DELIVERY


Last day of receipt of works is on April 30 at 20:00 hours (UTC +1) to: acoainformacion@gmail.com

This email will include:

1º: The link or the video file itself

Name the video or link to the video with the following data in this exact order:
- Full name of the artist or collective and nationality
- Title of the piece
- Year of completion
- Duration

2nd: a PDF with information about the piece as it is formulated below

In attachments a PDF with:
- Synopsis and/or explanation of content
- Short bio: contact data, training, 3 more important exhibitions, etc.
- Links to websites or other digital portfolios
- Any other relevant information as your consideration
