Fourth edition of Aldea Vella · Folk Horror Festival, which will be linked to folk horror.

ALDEA VELLA invites submissions to select works to be included in its fourth edition to be held in October 2026 in Astariz (Ourense).

Works may participate in the horror genre, specifically folk horror, with a maximum duration of 15 mins. and must have been made from January 2024.

The registered shorts must be in Galician or Spanish, and subtitled in Spanish or Galician if the language is different from one of these.

The material received will become part of the audiovisual collection of Aldea Vella where it can be used exclusively for cultural dissemination and promotion.

All works included in the exhibition will receive a certificate of participation.

The deadline for registering works will be July 31, 2026.

ONLY THE SELECTED WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL.

Within the competition, only the Audience Award will be awarded, which will be decided by the audience vote.

Aldea Vella will not be held liable for any liability that may arise in the event that the filmmakers who register do NOT have all the exhibition rights for the works they present.
