REGULATORY RULES OF THE 7th INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL OF ALMASSORA (CASTELLÓN)

1. Participation in this Festival is open to short films of national and international production, whether fiction, animation or documentary. Works of an experimental nature, or with a high advertising content, will not be accepted.

2. Films shot in any format, produced after January 1, 2024, may be presented.

3. The maximum duration of the films in competition will not exceed 20 minutes, including credit titles.

4. Films must be presented spoken in Spanish, Valencian or Catalan, or in the original version with subtitles in one of these three languages. subtitles must be embedded in the image, .srt is not accepted

5. Each author may submit up to a maximum of 3 works.

6. Two sections are established for competition, the Official Section and the Provincial Section. The selection committee will choose, among all the short films received, those that will be part of each competition. Only directors born or resident in the province of Castellón may participate in the Provincial Section, a DNI or Registration Certificate will be requested to justify said condition.

7. The selected films will appear in the Festival Catalog and will be exhibited in public sessions within the dates of the Festival. The screening dates will be announced through the Festival Program and its official Facebook page.

8. The decisions of the Selection Committee and the Jury are final.

9. The copies, in their projection format, of the winning short films will remain the property of the Festival, which will only use them for non-profit purposes.

INSCRIPTION

Registration will be done by online procedure through the FESTHOME platform.

In addition to the short film in digital format, the poster of the short film, 2 frames of it and a photograph of the director must be uploaded to the server. When registering the work, you will be asked for a series of data that will make up the registration form, therefore the participant who makes the online submission does not have to send anything else.

SELECTED FILMS

1. The works selected for the competition will be announced from OCTOBER 15, 2025 on the festival's official Facebook page. In addition, confirmation will be sent by email to each participant.

2. The selected films must be sent in HD files with the h264 codec and a minimum resolution of 1920 x 1080 -1080p- in .mp4 before October 30, 2024. Always weighing less than 2 gigabytes per file.

GENERAL RULES

The attending authors of the works selected in the competition may present their film in person if they wish, before the screening.

The organization will be able to arrange accommodation at a reduced price if they are interested in attending.

The producers of the selected short films authorize the use of a fragment of the works, up to a maximum of 15 seconds, for possible dissemination in any media.

The Organization may screen the selected short films in the places and times it deems appropriate, always within the festival margin, duly announced and communicated to the respective directors.
