The AnimAcción is one of the artistic projects of the "Cultural Association Sen Mood of Nome", and returns in its second edition. AnimAcción is a festival of short films of animation, which shows the artistic potential of a whole new generation of animators.

Animation is an artistic discipline that offers unlimited potential in the hands of artists who want to use it, a creative and imaginative potential.

This call for shorts is born of our desire to offer the public a fun show with the intention of increasing the cultural offer of the city of A Coruña and its region.

The selected short films will be screened on Thursday 19 December in the Marilyn Monroe Hall of the Metropolitan Forum (A Coruña), Friday 13 December in the Rego da Balsa Library (Carballo) and Saturday 14 December in a cultural space in the city center of A Coruña. The public present at the event will proclaim the winning work with their vote.

The day of the screening will be the occasion to create a bridge between artists and public and meet some of the creators present in the room. We will take the opportunity to ask them questions and be able to discuss the world of animation, talk about their works and their artistic experiences.

TERMS

- The technique is free: you can send works of any of the techniques that exist in the world of animation (2D, 3D, stopmotion, etc.).
- The theme is free.

- Technical requirements: the work presented must have a duration of 1 minute minimum and not more than 16. The production of the works can not be before november 2017.

- The proposals will be sent to the email senanimodenome@gmail.com specifying in the subject: "Convocatoria AnimAcción 2019".
The artists will send the file of their works in digital format via WETRANSFER.
The works must be sent in .mp4 format
or .mov - Codec H264, and that its size does not exceed 800mb. Minimum resolution of 1920x1080.

The works must be in Galician or Castilian and if not, the subtitles must be in Spanish, Galician or English.

To the mail must be attached the name of the work, the artist, the phone, 2 frames and a brief synopsis of the short to present. Sending the poster of the work and social networking pages is optional.
 
- Artists that are registered in FESTHOME can send the request through the platform itself. You can find our festival in festhome looking for: "AnimAcción - A Coruña 2019".

- The call will be open from August 1, 2019 until October 13, 2019.

- Selection of works. The curatorial team of the festival will select the works of artists who are best adapted to the project.
 
All artists will receive a response by mail
- The organization guarantees: inclusion of the name
electronic from November 10 until November 30, 2019.

- Prize. There will be a cash prize of 200 euros to the first classified.
The public decides to vote after the screening. The voting will be exclusively exercised by the public.

- The rights of the artist's work will be respected at all times, screening during the festival and using some fragment of the works only to promote the festival on social media.

The Organization guarantee: inclusion of all the artists selected in the printed and digital programming of the event and its dissemination in our social networks.

- Acceptance of participating in the festival means accepting all conditions.

- In charge of this call are Fabrizio Rosano responsible for the organizing association "Sen Ánimo de Nome", Eva Bello and David Saborido responsible for the animation collective "Animas Anónimas" that collaborate for the production of the event.
