NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
OF SHORT FILMS
2ND EDITION - YEAR 2025

INTRODUCTION

AQUICORTO is promoted by Abbo Production S.R.L., registered office in Via Appia 130 Venticano (AV) operational headquarters In Via Nino Bixio 49 Putignano (BA). The event is curated by Katiuscia Tomei.

PURPOSE OF THE REVIEW

The review, dedicated to the selection of the best short films, aims to support Abruzzo, national and international talents who want to try their hand at the art of filmmaking, expressing their skills and knowledge through the form of short film. The festival aims to showcase the most deserving.

MODE OF SELECTION OF WORKS

Pre-selection by the Examining Board:
The works received will be viewed and pre-selected by an Examining Board, whose judgment will be unquestionable. It will operate independently and following the guidelines of these regulations.
There are five sections in which to participate: International, National, Abruzzi, Environment, No to Violence. Authors born and resident in Abruzzo can only and exclusively participate in the Abruzzi section. The Commission will be made up of the Executive Board of Abbo Production S.R.L. and other experts in the field. It will have the task of making the selection on the basis of both the technique of realization and the mode of expression adopted by the author in dealing with the themes.

REGULATIONS

Participation in the competition implies acceptance of these regulations in all their points (under penalty of exclusion of the submitted work):
1. The sender, by submitting the work, declares that he/she is the owner of all rights of use of the work itself, none excluded, and that the contents of the work do not violate the laws in force and that the work does not have contents of a defamatory nature. In any case, the sender releases the organization from any liability for the content of the short film screened in public.
2. Submitted works will become part of the archive established for educational/dissemination purposes, which can be used for any cultural events (non-profit).
3. The festival organizers are not responsible for any damage or loss of submitted works.
4. The theme of the short film is free, except for the “environment” themed section and the “no to violence” section.
5. Any genre of short film is accepted: however, video clips, video art, documentaries, erotic shorts, pornographic shorts are excluded.
6. Only authors who are 18 years of age or older are eligible to participate.
7. The following are eligible to participate: works in Italian language and Italian dialects with Italian subtitles and works in foreign languages with Italian subtitles.
8. Each work may have a maximum length of 15'00'' (15 minutes and 0 seconds, meaning including credits and opening credits).
9. Short films not received in the indicated manner will be excluded

11. Should the filmmaker wish to attend the screening on the day of the festival, room and board are his or her responsibility

MATERIALS TO BE SUBMITTED

Short films must be entered electronically via the Festhome online platform by following all instructions and carefully reading the terms and costs.

SELECTION NOTICE

The titles of selected works will be posted on www.abboproduction.it by 26 September
