The II Autodisparo Film and Audiovisual Creation Showcase is organized by Liebre, a collective dedicated to creating and disseminating cultural projects outside mainstream circuits. The showcase aims to champion new voices in audiovisual creation, foster connections between creators and audiences, and support innovative projects and emerging talent.
Autodisparo was founded to create a space where cinema, audiovisual creation, and critical thought converge, encouraging dialogue, experimentation, and horizontal exchange. At Liebre, we champion works that explore new ways of seeing and are driven by a genuine artistic quest.
-Autodisparo Jury Prize
The exhibition's main award, granted at the jury's discretion to the work that stands out for its originality and affinity with Autodisparo.
-Jury Prize
A special award for the work that excels due to its narrative, conceptual, formal, or cinematic qualities.
-Audience Jury Prize
An award granted by the audience through an anonymous voting system.
Each mention will be accompanied by a symbolic prize.
-Special attention will be paid to independent or self-produced works, those made with limited resources, or those developed outside standard production and distribution circuits. This factor will serve as a programming criterion but will not be a mandatory requirement.
-A selection committee will view the entries and choose the short films to be included in autodisparo.
-Submission implies authorization to screen the short film during festival sessions. The organizers may use still images, film stills, posters, or a clip of up to one minute for promotional purposes only.
-The call for entries is open to audiovisual works of any genre, format, or methodology, including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental film, video art, and hybrid works.
-To ensure proper submission, works must be sent via the Festhome platform.
-Proposals requiring specific installation, technical equipment, or spatial intervention will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The organizers may contact selected entrants to assess technical and financial feasibility.
-Only works completed on or after January 1, 2025, are eligible.
-Participants may submit more than one work.
-Short films must have a maximum runtime of 25 minutes (including credits and title cards).
-Short films not originally in Spanish must be submitted with Spanish, Asturian, or english subtitles.
-Short films must be in MOV or MP4 format.
-If artificial intelligence tools were used during the creative process, this must be indicated on the submission form.
