Baños de Agua Santa in the Tungurahua Province of Ecuador, will host great filmmakers and moviegoers who seek to discover new film trends worldwide, generating meeting, promotion and creative exchange.

Professionals, amateurs and film students from all over the world can participate.

Basiff 2024

CALL RULES Basiff2024

- Films from anywhere in the world, all genres, niches and types of film in all formats, call this independent cinema, low or high budget, auteur cinema and all themes, whether they are short films or feature films or documentary as animation Films whose main language is not Spanish must be subtitled in this language, otherwise they will be disqualified.

- Works from the years 2022, 2023 and 2024 may participate for the official competition before the closing date of this call.

- The festival accepts short films from 1 minute to a maximum of 20 minutes in length, free length documentaries and feature films, from 50 minutes with no maximum duration limit.

There is no exception for any category or gender.

Unfinished works will not be accepted.

-Each filmmaker, production or distribution company of the film they represent, must register their work in the corresponding category.

There are no enrollment limits.

Professionals, amateurs and students can participate under the premise of Free Creation.

(Examples: Fiction, terror, historical, animated, environmental, human rights, pets and animals, LGBT, multicultural, ethnic, COVID 19 and its prevention, Amazon, highlands and coast, migration, family and friendship, human rights, accessible destinations and inclusive, and all those themes chosen by their creators ratifying free creation).

The participation value is 20 US dollars for all categories.
