The ongoing pandemic Covid-19 has impacted the lives of everyone around us. People around the world need doses of hope and happiness to fight with the corona virus. With this intention, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, Noida Campus, India’s Department of Animation and Multimedia has planned an ‘International Online Animation Film Festival’ on the theme of Humanity.We have invited animation films from the students from all over the world and we will showcase them online on a blog for public viewing. All the films will get e-certificates of participation and chosen films by the jury or organizers will get e-certificates of appreciation. However, we will keep voting option also on the blog to see which films are being liked by the audience.So far we have not announced any prizes. It is a zero cost event. The intention behind this is as mentioned earlier to bring in the hope in the lives of the people through art and technique of animation film-making.

Certificates of Participation, Certificates of Appreciation
Rules and Instructions:
1. The theme of the film should be “Humanity”.
2. Film could be made by using any technique of animation.
3. Duration of the film should be 1 minute to 5 minutes including titles.
4. Language of the film should be English or subtitled or dubbed in English.
5. All the content of the animation like drawings, visuals, video, etc. should be original or if any reference has been taken from other sources like music etc., it should be copyright free and must be duly acknowledged.
6. There should not be any direct or indirect depiction or reference of any religion, particular culture, gender, nation, political or any group etc. Film should appeal to everyone in general.
7. Film depicting any negativity will not be part of the festival.
8. Films should be suitable for youngsters, children and family viewing.
9. Self-censorship from the participants is expected.
10. There should not be any rude violence, bad language and nudity or adult content etc. which is not appropriate for minors or to be shown in an educational institute.
11. Any controversy arising because of the content of the animation will cause disqualification from the festival.
12. Who can participate:
a. Students of schools / college / academic institute etc.
b. Age criteria: 18 years above
c. Nationality: Any nation provided their country’s rules also allow them to participate
13. In case a younger student (less than 18 years old) has made the film, he or she can be part of the team who will equally deserve the certificate. His / her parent, guardian or mentor can fill the participation form.
14. A participant can send more than one films. Films can be sent in groups also.
15. Certificates will be given to all the team members individually as mentioned by the participant.
16. The purpose of the film festival is to show the importance of humanity and good values in difficult time of pandemic Covid-19.
17. All these films from different nations will be kept under one platform on a blog www.bitnoidafilmfestival.blogspot.com for the online viewing of the participants and public. There will be online voting to judge which movie is being liked most by the audience.
18. All the participants will get e-certificates of participation and chosen best films by the organizers or by the jury appointed by the organisers will get e-certificates of appreciation.
19. Teachers of the schools, colleges and animation institutes etc. are requested to motivate their students for participation.
20. Teacher whose reference has been mentioned by the participant will also get an e-certificate from the organisers for mentoring and guiding the student.

22. While filling the form participant must be ready with:
a. Youtube link of the film,
b. Poster of the film (image),
c. Photo of the film maker and or team,
d. Photo of the school / college / institute etc. Identity Card
e. Synopsis of the film
f. Name, Email id of the teacher who motivated you
23. Important Dates:
a. 4th July 2020 to 31st July 2020: To send the films
b. 1st to 15th August 2020 and thereafter: Films will be kept online on Blog for Public Viewing
c. 15th August 2020: Announcement of Best Films and certificates will be emailed thereafter
24. In case of any dispute, Director of the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, Noida Campus, India's decision will be final.
