The Caracas Film Criticism Festival is conceived as a space to reflect and reward the expression of significance of film criticism in various national and international works. From In this way, it seeks to encourage, promote and disseminate Venezuelan cinema, as well as the analysis depth of the cinema made in Venezuela in comparison with the international cinema awarded in the festivals in Berlin, Cannes, Locarno, San Sebastián and Venice.

The Caracas Film Critics Festival is designed as a space for reflection which aims to reward the best national and international works, according to the standards of film criticism.

In this way, we seek to carry out an in-depth analysis of the cinema made in Venezuela and abroad.

Of it, as well as encourage, promote and disseminate the cinematographic act. From a point of view external, thanks to the participation of foreign collaborators.

Special mentions of the Jury in both sections
Best Director
Best screenplay
Best Actor
Best actress

All Short and Feature Films that have been produced or whose completion date is from January 1 of each year until November 30 of the same year.

Short and Feature Films can be submitted to the Festival in one of the following ways:

Application by the producer of the work or the person who holds the rights of the same. In this case, participation will be subject to the approval of the Festival Selection Committee.

At the suggestion of third parties who, through signed and duly identified letters, propose the work or by electronic application via mail. In this case, the Festival Selection Committee will inform about the application to the producer of the work, who will send the collections for the study of said Commission.

The application of third parties does not presuppose the participation of the work in the Festival.

Application by the Festival Selection Committee, in which case the producer will be invited to register the work and will mean acceptance of it to participate in the Festival.

To proceed with the official application, made by the producer of the work or the person who
holds the rights of the same, must be sent to the Selection Committee of the Festival the
following precautions:

1. Private link on Vimeo or YouTube of the work via email to c4cinecaracas@gmail.com

2. Wait for the announcement of the official selection.

3. If selected, send an email with the following information:

4. File of the film in h264 of a weight that does not exceed 4 gigabytes in the case of
feature films and 2 gigabytes in the case of short films.

5. Technical sheet and artist of the work.

6. A photograph of the director at a minimum of 300 DPI.

7. At least three (5) still photos of various scenes from the film, the director and the shooting to 300 DPI.

8. Art of the promotion poster at 300 DPI.

9. Movie trailer in mp4.

Nominations will not be accepted if they arrive after the cutoff date for the call.
11:59pm from Caracas, Venezuela on the agreed day.

The Festival Selection Committee will notify the Official Selection of the Festival through the website and networks social.

Once the work has been accepted by the Selection Committee, it will be registered in the Festival of automatically, without the possibility of being withdrawn from it. The works that have not been officially selected may be included in the Festival sample out of competition, according to the decision of the Selection Committee.

Both the application and the registration of the works will be free.

The copies of the works sent at the time of the application will become part of the film archive of the association for promotional and training purposes of the Festival.
