Central India International Film Festival (CIIFF) honors excellence in NexGen Marathi-language cinema across a range of categories that celebrate storytelling, performance, direction, and music.

The film must be shot entirely or at least 80–90% on a mobile phone (smartphone, tablet, or similar device). Both fiction and non-fiction (documentary) films are allowed. Open to all age groups unless the festival has specific categories (like youth/children). Short Films: Typically between 1 to 25 minutes Can be open theme or a specific theme based on the festival. Subtitles: If not in English, English subtitles are mandatory.

Original Song or Music (Minimum 5 Minutes.) Films must use original compositions or licensed Song or music. Composer/singer/producer credit must be included in the end credits. Licensed or Royalty-Free Music If using third-party music, filmmakers must provide proof of: License or written permission Or proof that the music is royalty-free (with source link/documentation) Traditional/Folk Songs Use of folk or cultural songs is permitted only if: They are in the public domain Or you have documented consent or cultural representation rights

Less than 2-10 minutes in length. Animation or Ai ( Artificial Intelligence) must figure in no less than 75 percent of the picture’s running time. Any animation technique is accepted.

Duration: Below 30 min and Above While CIIWFF is a female-focused film festival, we also accept films produced and/or directed by men if one or more self-identifying top production members are female (including, but not limited. To be considered, films must be directed by and be about women. cinematographers, producers, writers, editors, or films featuring a strong female presence on screen). We will not exclude films directed by men if the topic is significant to women and women's issues.

The Central India International Film Festival (CIIFF) is committed to nurturing the work of young filmmakers and so is proud to present a program of films all made by youth - from around the world - and to provide an opportunity for young filmmakers to talk about both the fun and the challenges they face following the YSF screening. Films created/produced by youths, age 14 to 25, are considered to be “youth-produced”. An adult supervisor is allowed; however, the entire film MUST be conceived and created by the youth(s) submitting with minimal adult input.

Duration: 5 to 25 min. COMPETITIVE - Children have a unique way of looking at the world and their perspective is often unclouded by any preconceived notions and conceptions. CIIFFCY is not just about cultivating a culture of viewing good cinema among our children, but just as much about imbibing an appreciation of the art of filmmaking and its larger purpose in their young minds. Young, aspiring filmmakers unleashed their talent to the fullest as they showcase their best under the category. All they needed is an appreciative audience and a stage – bubbling with energy, courage and oodles of confidence, the film-making trainees and students breathe in their fresh ideas to make some very good films. CIIFFCY is a platform to promote good cinema and these upcoming stars of the industry are setting the right tone, choosing to make films with a message.
