The Tres Cantos City Council, through the Department of Culture, opens the call, on a competitive basis, for the I Short Film Contest with the intention of becoming a benchmark in this field and the purpose of stimulating and recognizing creativity in the audiovisual sector, specifically Short Film, as a form of cultural expression and as a means of transmitting values and traditions while stimulating the film industry.
Cash Prizes: 12,500€
The award will be endowed with € 12,500 in total and its modalities will be specified as follows:
-The “Tres C” Best Short Film Award will be endowed with € 4,000 and a trophy.
-Award for the best Direction endowed with € 1,000 and a trophy.
-Award for the best actor and actress performance endowed with € 1,000 and a trophy.
-Award for the Best Costume, endowed with € 1,000 and a trophy.
-Award for the Best Screenplay endowed with € 1,000 and a trophy.
-Award for the Best Soundtrack endowed with € 1,000 and a trophy.
-Local Production Short Film Award endowed with € 1,000 and a trophy.
-Public Award 3C to the work with the most votes during the OFFICIAL SECTION screenings. During the Festival, this winner will be chosen, who will be awarded € 1,500 and a trophy.
The works should not have been awarded at another short film festival.
The maximum duration for the works is 30 minutes, credits included.
To be eligible for the Local Production Short Film Award, the documentation proving the registration in the municipality of Tres Cantos of the participant must be attached, which must be prior to the date of approval of these Terms and Conditions.
The award-winning short films with an economic endowment will give the Tres Cantos City Council the dissemination of the work by any means, without exclusivity, for its projection during the Festival and the city council YouTube channel.
The organization may agree with the winners to withdraw the short film from the channel for a limited time to favor its distribution, after which the short film will return to the channel. For these purposes, the authorization of the authors or the owners of these rights for the screening by the festival of the selected works is implicit, without contractual obligations on the part of the Tres Cantos City Council with the material or intellectual author of the work, or of any other management company.
