1. Introduction to the Film Festival
The Chungbuk International Martial Arts Action Film Festival started as the only film festival in Korea under the theme of martial arts and action genres in 2019. In 2020, the slogan "The Spirit of Martial Arts, Blooms in Movies" was followed. It was a non-competitive film festival that discovered and introduced various martial action films around the world under the theme of 天(dignity and harmony), 地(peace and coexistence), 人(fulfill and consideration), the basic spirit of martial arts. Since the 3rd CIMAFF, the company has established the "Action, Indies" and "Special Competition" categories for "International Competition" (feature, short) and domestic indie action films to prepare for the leap into a partial competition international film festival with a total prize of 20 million won.
2. Film festival schedule
The 4th Chungbuk International Martial Arts Action Film Festival will be held in October 2022 at offline theaters for five days in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do. However, the date and screening method of the festival may vary depending on the circumstances of the film festival.
Awards: 20 million won in prize money.
Best Film (Feature) - 15 million won
Best Short Film - 3 million won
Best Film (Action Indie days - Korean Films) - 5 million won
3. Qualifications for submission
Anyone can submit it regardless of country or nationality. Please refer to the detailed criteria below among movies based on martial arts, movies of action genres based on the basic spirit of martial arts, and action movies. However, duplicate support is not possible.

COMPETITION (SHORT FILM) - January 2020 Martial arts action film in less than 30 minutes regardless of country of production.
Action Indie Days – A 60-minute or more indie action film produced domestically since January 2020.
* All Films must submit an english SRT for the ambassador.
4. Information on Entries
1) Submission date: April 15th (Fri) to June 30th (Thu) 18:00/ Korea time standard [GMT+9:00]
2) Submission : online application: Festhome.

* The selection of works is based on the preliminary review committee selected by the Chungbuk International Martial Arts Action Film Festival program team. It is determined after judge and does not provide any reasons of unselected films.
5. Precautions to take when submitting
1. You must read and agree to the separately informed entry and Copyright Management Regulations and fill out the application form.
2. All information prepared in the entry application shall be free of falsehood, and if it is found to be false, it will be excluded from the screening, and the screening will be canceled even if it is a confirmed film.
3. The screener's online link (Vimeo or other shared drive) must be submitted (registered) with the entry form. However, entry cannot be made via YouTube links, and all screeners' online links must be submitted with their passwords set or private.
4. Only when the online application form is completed and the screener (online link) upload is completed, the application is considered to be completed.
5. If the exhibitor changes the screener (online link) or changes the screener image after the completion of the submission, he/she shall consult with the film festival in advance.
6. The screener must be the same as the final version (screening version) that will be screened at the film festival when the entry is selected as a screening film. If the final screening and the screener are different, the selection of the film may be canceled. However, the difference between the screener and the final screening is entirely determined by the film festival.
7. No materials submitted for entry will be returned.
The selected work will be placed in the matching section and may be selected as the opening or closing film.
* Precautions for exportation
-Review files in MP4, MOV, etc. format
- No english subtitles required for Korean films
- english subtitles are required if not Korean.
*If selected
- Submit english subtitles, english scripts, a director's photo, five still cuts and movie posters.
- Film festivals can produce video and other promotional materials for promotion.
- Additional details will be announced later.
