Cine Caramelo is a film festival for children and teenagers held since 2013 in Porto Alegre and metropolitan region, having also toured many cities in Southern and Central Brazil.

The festival aims to provide playful moments for children, teenagers and adults through film screenings and variety of parallel activities, creating a privileged space to think about the themes of youth. The festival also features training workshops focused on the creation and production of content for children and adolescents.

In nine years, Cine Caramelo has shown a hundred films and held several workshops, meetings and chats shared with more than 20 thousand participants.

Because it is not a competitive show, Cine Caramelo does not award prizes.

Registration for the 7th. edition of Cine Caramelo - Children's Film Festival of Porto Alegre are open for submission of films from May 15 to June 10, 2021. Cinematographic works concluded from 2018 and which have not been commercially shown in the state of Rio de Janeiro will be accepted. Rio Grande do Sul in the period prior to the festival date.

Registration is free and open to films of all genres and short film formats lasting up to 30 minutes that favor children and children and young people.

Entries will be made through the festival website www.cinecaramelo.com.br or through the platform Festhome www.festhome.com

To register, the copyright holder must send the registration form along with a secure link to the film (Vimeo, YouTube or similar and its password) to Cine Caramelo, through the festival website or perform the necessary procedures on the Festhome platform .


SELECTION

The dissemination of the selected films will be made through the Festival's website - www.cinecaramelo.com.br and they will be notified by e-mail.

The selected movie files must be sent online from the instructions given by our team within a maximum of 5 (five) consecutive days after receiving the selection email.

Only High Resolution films will be accepted. The minimum requirements for display are Full HD (1920 × 1080), HD (1280 × 720) or higher formats, with .mp4 or .mov extension, H264 codec, Bitrate not less than 10 Mbps (ten megabits per second) and audio mixed;

The director must send 2 (two) still images of the film in JPEG or TIFF format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, minimum size of 7 x 10 cm and a file name indicating the title of the film.

All films that meet the prerequisites described here will be analyzed by the festival's selection committee.

The selection criteria will be based on the artistic, technical qualities and the thematic relevance of the work.

The selection committee's decision is sovereign, with no appeal.


AUTHORIZATION

Registration for the 7th edition of Cine Caramelo - Children's Film Festival of Porto Alegre implies:

- authorization to display the trailer and / or excerpts of the work of up to two minutes, as well as stills of the work, for exclusive purposes of dissemination and audiovisual recording of the event.

- authorization for (1) exhibitions during the festival period, (2) itinerant exhibitions and (3) educational activities of the event, for a period of one year after the Festival (July 2021 to July 2022). All free exhibitions.


AWARDS

Because it is not a competitive show, Cine Caramelo does not award prizes.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

The 7th edition of Cine Caramelo - Children's Film Festival of Porto Alegre is being produced by Véspera Visual Media, CNPJ: 20.778.637 / 0001-10, through the Public Notice Creation and Training - Diversity of Cultures, carried out by the Secretary of State for Culture do RS in partnership with the Marcopolo Foundation with resources from Law No. 14.017 / 2020, the Law Aldir Blanc.

The 7th edition of Cine Caramelo - Children's Film Festival of Porto Alegre will take place online and the exhibitions will take place through the festival's website www.cinecaramelo.com.br and the YouTube platform.

Filmmakers are fully responsible for the right to use images and sounds used in their work, in accordance with the authorial legislation in force in the country.

The works must be presented by their authors or legal holders of their rights.

The registration of the audiovisual work in the 7th edition of Cine Caramelo - Children's Film Festival of Porto Alegre implies acceptance of the terms of the regulation.
