Cinema Erotic Film Festival – Rules and Guidelines

## A. Eligibility Requirements

1. There is no premiere policy. Films may have already been screened at other festivals or be available online.

2. All submissions must be completed original works.

3. Entrants must confirm and warrant legal authority to submit the entry and to use all music, images, and content in the entry.

4. There are no restrictions based on explicit sexual content, provided that:

– All depicted sex acts are between consenting adults (18 years or older);

– You have obtained consent and release forms for every individual appearing in your content

– You have verified and maintained records that each individual was at least 18 years of age at the time of production, and certify that you are in compliance with such requirements under 18 U.S.C. §2257, and agree to deliver the related documentation upon request.

– No individual appearing in your content has been convicted of crimes relating to sexual assault, sexual exploitation of a minor, trafficking, or other related criminal offenses.

## B. Content Restrictions

Your submission must NOT:

1. Contain sexual abuse material, non-consensual content, revenge porn or blackmail

2. Depict individuals under the age of 18

3. Violate any applicable laws

4. Advocate or condone illegal activity

5. Infringe upon intellectual property rights of
any third party

6. Violate or infringe upon the rights of any person or entity, including privacy rights

## C. Submission Guidelines

1. Only complete entries (including fee payment and full quality screener) will be considered.
Incomplete works that will be finished prior to the festival *may* be considered: contact us to discuss.

2. Subsequent cuts or replacement copies will only be accepted at the approval of the programming committee.

3. All films must be submitted by the deadline indicated for the current festival.

4. Films should be delivered digitally in high quality, up to 4K HDR, for screening at the festival venue. Most common video formats are acceptable, however once we test playback of the film, it may require re-encoding.

## D. Ancillary Submissions

With film submissions, we will also be posting to social media, which may include basic details about the film and its filmmakers. We will also be including some interviews – with full versions on our website and YouTube; and shortened clips on other social media. If interested, you may submit your own info, clips, promotional images, self-shot interviews; or we may coordinate to interview online or in-person in the Los Angeles area.

## E. Promotion & Exhibition Rights

1. The festival reserves the right to promote selected films on the festival website and social media using any images or video that you provide.

2. The festival is granted the right to utilize excerpts from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition for promotional purposes, including future editions of the festival.

3. Selected films may be included for post-festival online screenings via the Cinema Erotica film festival. This will be fee-based access to the public, with those fees being split with the content owners. This may be opted out of, such as if there are rights conflicts.

## F. Judging & Selection

1. Films are selected by the festival programming committee.

2. Selected filmmakers will be notified by email at least 3 weeks before the first day of the festival (sooner if the film is not submitted at the last moment!)

3. The Festival does not provide feedback or screening notes to entries that are not selected.

4. Awards will be announced on the last day of the festival, October 12, 2025. Winners not in attendance (in person or online) will be notified by email and/or text.
