CINEVERSATIL, International Short Film Festival on Diversity- Argentina offers an alternative to raise awareness of sexual and affective diversity through a film festival that integrates the non-competitive exhibition of LGBTIQ+ audiovisual narratives in short film format and new activist experiences.
The specific objectives for 2023 are: a) screening on theatre of international short films dedicated to HIV/AIDS experiences in LGBTIQ+ people, b) to carry out the face-to-face exhibition of national short films dedicated to LGBTIQ+ experiences.
The duration of the works will be:
Up to 15 minutes maximum for short films including credits (exceptions apply due to quality criteria).
The accepted format for exhibition is in digital support for all cases. Shorts can be sent through Festhome.
Short films in Spanish or subtitled in Spanish are accepted preferably. Shorts in another language with their respective subtitle files in Spanish or english (.srt format) are also accepted.
There are no restrictions on production dates.
The closing of the call for registration and submission of the works will occur at the time that the preliminary jury considers it so (May 30, 2024).
To participate in the 14th edition of the Festival, directors/producers must submit:
-Download link of the short or downloadable version on the shipping platform used,
-Frames in good resolution (1920x1080)
-Official poster in good resolution
-Data sheet
-Synopsis
-Trailer (if you have it)
-Photo of the director
-Social networks of the short film and the director.
Registration in the festival implies the absolute acceptance of these regulations.
The Preliminary Jury (festival curatorship) will make a pre-selection of the works received based on the regulations of this call.
The official selection will be published via email to each of the winners, once the call is closed and the CINEVERSATIL Preliminary Jury considers by consensus which are the works belonging to the official sample.
By registering the work, the FAMICINE FOUNDATION is authorized to exhibit it during the period corresponding to the celebration of the festival and in previous events in Argentine territory. CINEVERSATIL undertakes to notify their authors of said exhibitions in advance.
The director authorizes the FAMICINE FOUNDATION (organizing entity of CINEVERSATIL) to use up to two minutes of the work for the purpose of promoting the festival on television, internet and/or cinema.
The director is responsible for not affecting the copyrights of third parties and exempts the organizers of CINEVERSATIL from any legal responsibility. Those responsible for the application on the platform take full charge of the copyright and intellectual property rights. They declare before the organizers of CINEVERSATIL that they are solely responsible for any type of claim or demand concerning the material presented, and that they expressly agree to indemnify the organizers for any type of claim or demand, including copyright and/or other rights claims, attorneys' fees, and other expenses generated by said circumstances.
