RULES:

CINE VERSÁTIL, International Short Film Festival on Diversity- Argentina offers an alternative on sexual and affective diversity awareness through a film festival that integrates the non-competitive exhibition of LGBTIQ+ audiovisual narratives in short film format and new activist experiences.

The specific objectives for 2025 are: a) to carry out the official presential exhibition of international and national LGBT+ video art, b) to carry out the parallel exhibitions of collaborating festivals, c) to carry out the training workshop on dissident/resistant video art.

The duration of the works will be:
Up to 10 minutes maximum including credits (exceptions apply due to quality criteria).

The format accepted for exhibition is digital support in all cases.

Short films in Spanish or preferably subtitled in Spanish will be accepted. We also accept short films in another language with their respective subtitle files in Spanish or english (.srt format).

The video art must be produced between 2022 and 2024. Exceptions apply for the year 2021 depending on the quality of the video art.

The closing date for registration and submission of works will be when the preliminary jury deems it appropriate (November 30, 2024).

To participate in the 15th edition of the Festival, directors/producers must submit:

-Link to download the short film or downloadable version on the submission platform used,
-Stills in good resolution (1920x1080)
-Official poster in good resolution
-Technical sheet
-Synopsis
-Trailer (if available)
-Director's photo
-Social networks of the short film and the director.

Registration in the festival implies the absolute acceptance of these regulations.

The Preliminary Jury (curatorship of the festival) will make a pre-selection of the works received according to the rules of this call.

The official selection will be published via email to each of the winners, once the call for entries closes and the CINEVERSATIL Preliminary Jury considers by consensus which works will be included in the official selection.

By registering the work, CINE VERSATIL is authorized to exhibit it during the festival and in previous events in Argentina. CINE VERSÁTIL undertakes to notify the authors in advance of such exhibitions.

The director authorizes CINE VERSÁTIL to use up to two minutes of the work for the purpose of promoting the festival on television, internet and/or cinema.


The director is responsible for not affecting the copyrights of third parties and exempts the organizers of CINE VERSATILE from any legal responsibility. Those responsible for the application on the platform take full responsibility for intellectual property rights and copyrights. They declare before the organizers of CINE VERSATILE that they are solely responsible for any claim or lawsuit concerning the submitted material, and that they expressly agree to indemnify the organizers against any such claim or lawsuit, including claims of copyright and/or other rights, attorney's fees, and other expenses generated by such circumstances.
