Cityflix International Film Festival Toronto (CIFF) is dedicated towards promoting and championing the work of screenwriters, filmmakers, and every artist who use the language of film to tell a story.
Cityflix International Film Festival discovers outstanding, emerging filmmakers serving as a gateway for established and rising talent to further or launch their filmmaking career. Through Workshops, Conferences and master classes by Industry Professional, the festival provides development and outreach opportunities to writers and filmmakers.
Cityflix International Festival Toronto will be held from November
29 - December 01, 2019 in Toronto, Canada.

CIFF understands how important it is to hear and see the educated, entertaining and diverse stories of filmmakers from around the globe. We provide a platform so these voices can be heard and shared with audiences that want to be inspired

CIFF is designed to showcase innovative works by emerging filmmakers from around the world, With red-carpet screenings, and special after-party that seamlessly integrates Hollywood pros with up-and-coming talents, CIFF offers an unforgettable festival experience that helps kick start the careers of emerging filmmakers. Each screening at CIFF is followed by a Q&A that directly connects directors with inquisitive and impassioned film lovers, resulting in countless opportunities for dynamic discussion. The festival dedicates time and attention to each of the films selected The festival is dedicated to giving each filmmaker the spotlight they deserve with press attention to match.

All filmmakers selected for the festival are guaranteed coverage from media outlets, invites emerging filmmaking talents from around the world to network with respected industry professionals, showcased filmmakers, and their audiences in Toronto.
CIFF is passionately committed to providing Audiences, Filmmakers, and Screenwriters around the globe with an excellent and unique cinematic experience.

CITYFLIX Screenplay Competition is dedicated to discovering and supporting emerging writing talent across all genres and background. First place, Second Place as well as Top Ten finalists receives over $25,000 in awards and prizes as well as Introductions to Development Executives and Producers.

In order to be eligible for consideration, All Films submitted under these Terms must be submitted in accordance with the procedure outlined herein. CIFF may, but is not required to, disqualify or reject any Film that is not submitted in this way.

To submit a Film for Festival consideration, Applicants must Complete the registration process and pay the required fee by the deadlines.

Submissions must be post-marked or submitted online via Festome.

Films must be completed no earlier than March 2018.

Submitted DVDs must contain one version only of the Film, in the original language of production, with English subtitles if the original language is not English.

DVDs must be labeled in the following manner:
Title.
Production company name, phone number and address.
Director’s name.
Length in minutes.
Where the applicant chooses to forward a DVD instead of an online screener, the Applicant is responsible for ensuring that the submitted DVD screener plays in its entirety on an industry-standard DVD player. If CIFF is unable to view the DVD, CIFF is under no obligation, to contact the Applicant in order to obtain a replacement DVD.

CIFF will not review multiple versions of a submitted Film. Only one version of the Film may be submitted. If multiple versions are submitted, CIFF will view only the version that was received first.

DVD screeners will not be returned.

All Films must be sent by way of prepaid shipping. CIFF will not accept cash-on- delivery shipments or be responsible for duties, taxes or customs brokerage. Charges are to be billed to the sender. CIFF is not responsible for and will not accept shipments incurring expenses for terminal charges, duties, taxes or customs brokerage. Shipping and customs charges are to be billed to the sender. Any shipping charges incurred by CIFF will be billed back to the Applicant.

COMPETITION CERTIFICATION
I/We have read all of the CITYFLIX International Film Festival (a.k.a. CIFF Festival) rules. I/We understand and have complied with these rules.
I/We warrant the submission of my/our original work and there are no disputes regarding the ownership of the submission. I/We also warrant the submitted material does not defame or invade the rights of any person living or dead and I/we fully indemnify the Festival against any claim made for such violations of law.
To the best of my/our knowledge, all of the statements herein are true and correct.
I/We understand that failure to adhere to the Festival rules will result in disqualification and forfeiture of entry fee.
I/We agree to hold the CITYFLIX International Film Festival harmless from and defend them against all claims, demands, losses, damages, judgments, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with any and all claims of third parties, whether or not groundless, based on any film submitted to the Festival. I understand that the festival projection format may change and I will be notified of the required format once my film is accepted.
All selected Films must be available to screen in DCP (Digital Cinema Package) by November 20, 2019.
