Clifton Film Fest is an award winning indoor and outdoor film festival located in Northern Virginia. We showcase original films made by the surrounding community at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA. There is day showings in the Workhouse Arts Center's theater in building 3 at 4pm and an evening showcase on the quad at dark. The Clifton Film Fest is for original films made by creative people. Festival Date: July 19th, 2014!

The Rules
Student & 19+ Categories
Shorts should be 1-10 minutes in duration. Remember shorter films sometimes have more impact!
We accept Narratives, Documentaries, Music Videos, Animations, and Experimental films.
Your film can be anything original. You have complete creative freedom
Your film should be appropriate for the community (Please use your best judgement)
Please use all original material unless you can get the correct permission

Fees + Dates
Early Registration + Submission: $25 and can be turned in/postmarked anytime before May 1st
Normal Registartion + Submission: $35 Postmarked by June 1st
Late Registration + Submissions: $45 Postmarked by July 2nd

Judging
Judging will be based on your skill level of:
Storytelling
Cinematography
Editing
Audio
Please make sure you pay attention to these criteria and perfect these areas, this will determine your final score. The highest combined score of those categories will win Best Picture.
*We try our best to have a wide range of talent review your films for these categories including local filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and critics. Student's will win the category they have the highest score in and only that, they can not win in more than one category (e.g. if you win Best Picture you will not win in any other category.) 19+ can win in two categories and once they win two categories they can not win in more than those two.
