Recently recognized as a "Must-See Event" by THE BOSTON GLOBE, the Collinsville Film Festival (CFF) is an annual film festival devoted to the theatrical exhibition of fiction/non-fiction cinema with a focus of support and development for independent artists.

Stationed in the picturesque Northwest region of Connecticut along the Farmington River, Collinsville was once the birthplace of the world-renowned ax factory & manufacturer of edge tools. The space is now home to antique sellers, studio artists and woodworkers. Recognized as one of the “Top 10 Coolest Small Towns in America,” Collinsville will welcome filmmakers for a three-day celebration of films, music and art.

Established by filmmakers, the CFF welcomes amateur, student, and professional filmmakers with warm hospitality and gorgeous surroundings. Participating filmmakers at CFF enjoy hotel accommodations, discounted tickets for attending cast and crew, discounts at local restaurants, bars and access to all events/parties.

COLLINSVILLE FILM FESTIVAL (March 23 - March 25, 2018)

Competition is open to U.S. and International entries.

DEADLINES
Early Bird Deadline (October 1, 2017). Regular Deadline (December 3, 2017). Late Deadline (February 16th, 2018). Extended Deadline (February 23, 2018). Filmmakers with postmarked submissions after the deadline that they submitted under may be subject to additional fees in order for their film to be considered, with any original fees being considered non-refundable. PLEASE NOTE: For the sake of deadline fairness, filmmakers cannot send additional, updated or revised versions of submitted films unless they re-submit and pay separate fees.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Entries must be submitted as an online screener (Festhome/Vimeo).

SELECTION & NOTIFICATION
Festival selections will be announced by February 15, 2018. If your film is accepted, you have two weeks to notify the festival if you do not want a screening of your accepted film. If entrants fail to respond or accept our offer after two weeks time, their film will automatically be removed from the festival’s program. The festival does not pay rental fees for submitted work. All selected filmmakers will receive two complimentary passes to the festival as well as tickets to their respective screenings.

EXHIBITION COPY
We screen every film at the festival using a hard drive. You must provide a digital copy if selected to screen at the 2018 Collinsville Film Festival.

SHIPPING
If a film is accepted, entrants will be solely responsible for delivering their exhibition video materials to and from the festival venue. The Collinsville Film Festival cannot and will not be held liable for your exhibition, print/video materials which are lost or damaged. Shipping cost of shipping is the responsibility of the entrant.

By submitting this application, you are admitting to reading and agreeing to follow the General Festival Rules and the Collinsville Film Festival Terms and Conditions. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The individual or corporation submitting this film additionally grants the Collinsville Film Festival the right to one or more public screenings of the entry during the dates of March 23 - March 25, 2018. Collinsville Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Collinsville Film Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered. I understand and agree that my film entry, if selected for the Festival, may be used for promotional purposes for Collinsville Film Festival and/or its partners; and I grant Collinsville Film Festival and its partners the rights to use footage, stills and/or titles and information from the film for such promotional purposes; Should this film win any award, I am authorized and/or empowered by all parties legally representing this entry to receive all cash prizes and awards and to distribute them appropriately; I fully indemnify and hold Collinsville Film Festival and its partners harmless from: a) damage to or loss of the film print or videotapes en route to or from the Collinsville Film Festival or during the course of the Collinsville Film Festival’s possession of the entry; and b) from any claims which may arise in connection with my film. If your film is selected to screen in the Festival, you will need to provide the following: Exhibition format by required deadline. Filmmaker is responsible for the delivery costs of the submission and exhibition copy, including any applicable customs fees. You must be 18 years of age or older (or have your parent/guardian to submit on your behalf) to enter the competition. The Collinsville Film Festival reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any project or film submitted. Please do not send any press or promotional materials until your film is selected for the program. A complete press kit will be needed as soon after notification as possible. Festival dates are subject to change. Failure to comply with the guidelines, rules, regulations, terms & conditions and/or eligibility may be cause for disqualification and having your film pulled from screening or competition. By entering or submitting to any Collinsville Film Festival competition you acknowledge that you are not entitled to any refund or damage claims of any kind if your film is unable to screen due to technical or operational difficulties or if your film needs to be rescheduled or delayed for any reason.
