At Corrosivo Film Fest, we are determined to give genre cinema the place it deserves in a country where an increasingly larger audience is open to everything that cinema from the other side of the spectrum has to offer. With this fourth edition, Corrosivo Film Fest consolidates itself as a space for those who enjoy genre cinema with popcorn on the big screen.
Our goal is to bring followers of the dark, bloody, and fantastic closer to new proposals that are not shown in commercial movie theaters, films that wander through the shadows of the best festivals to be exhibited in our country, at an event that everyone will remember.
Welcome to this festival, and let’s share together the love we have for these other stories through films, screenings, and activities.
SHORT FILMS:
Every short film selected to be part of the official selection of the Corrosivo Film Fest will be eligible for the Best Short Film award and the Audience Award.
The prize consists of a statuette and recognition from the festival.
FEATURE FILMS:
Feature films that meet the requirements and are selected for the competition will have the opportunity to win the statuette for Best Horror Feature Film at the Corrosivo Film Fest.
The juries for both categories will consist of individuals specialized in different branches of the audiovisual field, with enough expertise to choose the winning project of the festival.
The jurors have the authority to declare any category void if they consider it necessary by a majority vote.
The decisions of the jury for both BEST FEATURE FILM and BEST SHORT FILM will be final.
By applying for registration for the Corrosivo Film Festival, it is understood that you have read and accepted the following regulations, so that your audiovisual work—whether a feature film, short film, music video, documentary, or any experimental project—can be shown during the festival dates at the various venues considered by the festival for screenings.
