Cortoons Gandia is the International Animated Film Festival of Gandia, organized by Cortoons Festival, the city of Gandia, la Generalitat Valenciana, through the Institut Valenciá de Cultura (Culturarts), and the participation of Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) Campus de Gandia.

In the 2016, after 12 years of great success in Rome, Cortoons international festival of animated films, he moved to Spain in the beautiful town of Gandia in the province of Valencia.

The 21th Cortoons Festival Gandia edition will be a great festival of animated films for professionals, animation film funs and all the general public.

The competition categories are:

International animated short film from 1 to 4 minutes

International animated short film from 4 to 20 minutes

Spanish animated short film

Spanish animated short films produced in the

Valencian Community

Graduation animated film

Works may take place after January 1st, 2023.

The deadline is September 01, 2025

Participants and Works

All national and international producers and filmmakers who wish to participate, can register an unlimited number of works, which meet the registration requirements.

The limit of duration is 20 minutes for short films.

Works produced after January 1st, 2023.

There is no limit to animation techniques.

The required format for the screening is: .mov, .mpeg y .mp4 con codec H264.

There is no participation fee.

The shipping costs, via online will be borne by the person / company that presents the film.

The deadline will be September 01, 2025.

Once the registration has been made, the film can not be removed.

It will be necessary to attach a minimum of two images of the film in JPEG format, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and the film synopsis.

Movies in languages ​​other than English will have to include English subtitles.

You hereby authorize the reproduction and transmission purposes promotional and archive of 20% of the work, up to a maximum of 3 minutes.

Copyright

The author, producer or distributor who registers the film will declare to be the owner, to have acquired or to make a legitimate use of all the contents of the film and of its copyright.
Cortoons Festival is authorized to project the work registered in other activities organized always to promote Cortoons Gandia.

Selection of works

The Artistic Direction of Cortoons Gandia will make the selection according to the criteria it seems appropriate. The organization will notify the results of the selection, before 05 of September 2025, only to the authors of the selected films.

Copies sent for registration will not be returned.

Diffusion of images

The images provided can be used in different media to promote Cortoons Gandia, respecting the conditions indicated in the form.

Acceptance of the rules

Participating in Cortoons Gandia 2025 implies the full acceptance of these rules.

The organizers reserve the right to change the rules in exceptional cases.
