1. OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE
The Endimaris Sitges LGTBIQ+ Film Festival aims to promote and showcase LGTBIQ+ themed cinema, giving visibility to diverse narratives and fostering dialogue through the seventh art. The Official Short Film Section seeks to highlight and reward the best short-format productions addressing themes related to the LGTBIQ+ community.

2. DATES AND LOCATION
The festival will take place in Sitges from November 19th to November 29th, 2026.

3. PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
Short films must have been produced after January 1, 2024.
The theme must be related to the LGTBIQ+ community (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender individuals, all sexual identities, and gender diversities).
Films without LGTBIQ+ themes will not be accepted. DO NOT submit a film without an LGTBIQ+ theme... Otherwise, too many entries will be received, making it impossible to make a proper selection.
The maximum allowed duration is 30 minutes, including credits.
Short films of any cinematic genre are accepted.
Works may have been filmed in any format but must be submitted in DCP or digital file format (.MP4 or .MOV, minimum resolution Full HD 1920x1080).
If the original language of the short film is not Spanish or Catalan, it must include subtitles in one of these languages.
Selected films must also provide promotional materials for publications.

4. SUBMISSION
Entries must be submitted through the festival’s official platform or other festival distribution platforms (Festhome, FilmFreeway).
The submission period will open on May 25th, and close on August 31, 2026.
The submission fee will be 2 euros.

5. SELECTION AND SCREENING
A selection committee appointed by the festival organization will evaluate the submitted short films.
Selected films will be notified before September 30, 2026.
The selected short films will be part of the Official Section and will be screened during the festival on the scheduled dates.
The organization reserves the right to schedule additional screenings within the festival’s framework.

6. AWARDS
The following awards will be granted:

Best Short Film – Awarded by the official jury.
Best Performance – Awarded by the official jury.
Best Director - Awarded by the official jury.

The festival organization may use excerpts from selected short films (maximum 1 minute) for promotional purposes.
The short films will become part of the festival archive and may be screened at future cultural and non-profit events.

8. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Participation in the Official Short Film Section implies full acceptance of these rules. Any matter not covered herein will be resolved by the festival organization.
