26th International Short Film Festival “UNPRECEDENTED FILM”

The festival has been held annually since 2001.

Festival philosophy:
“Every film finds its audience.”

The 26th International Short Film Festival “UNPRECEDENTED FILM” will take place on 30–31 October 2026 in Tallinn, Estonia.

Electronic diplomas will be sent to all authors whose films are selected for the official competition programme.

Winners attending the festival in person will receive prizes and printed diplomas.

Winners who are unable to attend the festival will receive electronic diplomas.

The best films in various categories will be awarded special prizes.

Special Prizes:

– Best Children’s Animated Film
– Best Student Film
– Best Animated Film
– Best Experimental Film
– Best Book Trailer

Films that have not participated in previous editions of the “UNPRECEDENTED FILM” Festival are eligible for submission.

Participation in the competition is free of charge.

Films must be submitted via file-sharing services with download links that do not expire.

Films are accepted in the following categories:
– Animation
– Experimental Film

All films must have English subtitles.

The maximum running time is 15 minutes.

Films must be submitted in MP4 (H.264) format.

Applications and films must be submitted by 10 September 2026.

The deadline for submissions to the Book Trailer Competition is 15 October 2026.

The Book Trailer Competition is open only to authors residing in Estonia.

Travel and accommodation expenses are covered by the participants themselves.
