The Morros Films Made with Smartphones Festival proposes a competitive event conceived to be carried out annually online and traveling, with the purpose of valuing short films in the Mobile formats, thus supporting this important genre that every day has greater exponents.

Competition rules:
1.- Read carefully the rules of the Morros Films Festival Made with Smartphones
2.- The works to participate must go through the pre-selection committee to be evaluated and they will be communicating to those responsible for each short by email. OFFICIAL SELECTION
3.- Each work may participate with (01) work
4.- The Morros Films Made with Smartphones Festival will take place from April 21 to 24, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival will be taking place via the web on the Live and Direct platform on the YouTube channel from San Juan de los Morros (Inauguration, Workshops, Talk and Closing with the results of the Winners)
To be part of the call, participants must complete the following steps:
- A short film produced 100% by cell phone, with a maximum of 12 minutes, 5 minutes or 1 minute (depending on the category in which the participant decides to enter their short), including credits.
- The making of (behind the scenes) that proves that the short film was made with a cell phone or mobile device.
- Attach poster or cinematographic poster of the short film.
- Accept terms and conditions.
- Send the short film before the closing of the call.
The Festival will have three (3) Categories to compete both National and International:
A. 1 Minute Short Films
B. 5 Minute Short Films
C. 12 Minute Short Films
- The works to participate in the Festival must be sent only to the FESTHOME platforms
- deadline for submission of papers: March 5, 2021.
The decisions of both the selection committee and the Official Jury will be final. The prizes awarded will be delivered at the closing gala on April 24, 2021 through the YouTube platform.
REQUIREMENTS
- Material of the Short Film in MOV, MKV and FLV format with a resolution of 1920x1080
- One (1) photograph of the director at 300 DPI minimum
- Three (3) still photos of various scenes from the movie at 300 DPI
- Original poster of the work (Required)
- duration of the short film: Maximum 12 minutes, 5 minutes or 1 minute The works must have finished their production after January 1, 2018.
- The organization reserves the right to exhibit the selected works in as many public sessions as it deems appropriate.
- If the work is the winner, the organization of the Festival is authorized for dissemination in different national samples.
- Any individual or group that registers a work in the Festival will accept the bases that in turn belong to the regulations presented.
