Erotic Film Festival London is here to showcase bold, beautifully crafted films that explore desire, intimacy, and human connection. No gimmicks, no awkward labels—just great storytelling that puts pleasure and passion on screen where they belong.

Erotic storytelling has long been sidelined or treated as a curiosity, dismissed or reduced to shock value. Here at EFFL it’s given the creative respect it deserves—because passion, pleasure, and longing are as much a part of life as love, loss, and adventure.


We want your bold, daring, and unforgettable erotic short films—whether they’re hot and steamy, intimate and tender, thought-provoking or tense. Erotic cinema isn’t one-size-fits-all, and we welcome stories in any genre—from documentary to sci-fi, fantasy to kink, animation to experimental. If your film explores desire, connection, or sexuality, we want to see it.


Selected films will be grouped into curated programmes, each offering a different perspective on intimacy, desire, and connection. These intimate screenings will take place in London from 1–5 October 2025, bringing together audiences eager to experience bold and boundary-pushing storytelling.

For filmmakers who can attend, there will be opportunities for Q&As, discussions, and networking, giving both filmmakers and audiences the chance to connect, exchange ideas, and celebrate the art of erotic cinema together.

This isn't just a festival—it's the beginning of a movement that recognises erotic cinema as one of the most vital, under-explored frontiers in contemporary cinema.

A) Eligibility Requirements

Recent Work Only – Films must have been completed on or after 1 January 2023 to be eligible.

Language & Subtitles – Films can be in any language. If your film is not in English, it must include English subtitles.

Legal Authority – By submitting, you confirm you have full legal authority over the film, including all music, images, and content used.

Rights & Responsibilities – The filmmaker agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Erotic Film Festival London against any claims related to copyright, trademarks, credits, publicity, screening, and any loss or damage to submitted materials.

No Premiere Requirement – Your film does not have to be a premiere. It may have been screened at other festivals and can even be available online.

Original Work Only – Submissions must be completed and original works created by the entrant.

Consent & Release – You confirm that all individuals appearing in your film have provided full consent and have signed releases.

Age Verification – You confirm that all individuals appearing in your film were at least 18 years old at the time of production and that you have verified and retained valid age documentation.

No Criminal Offenses – No individual appearing in your film has been convicted of sexual assault, sexual exploitation of a minor, human trafficking, or any related crimes.

Content Standards – Your film must not contain any prohibited material, including but not limited to:

• Child sexual abuse material

• Non-consensual content (including depictions of coercion or lack of consent)

• Revenge porn or blackmail

• Misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent content

• Depictions of individuals under 18 years of age in an erotic or sexual context

Legal Compliance – Your film must not violate any applicable laws or promote illegal activity.

Intellectual Property – Your film must not infringe on third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.

Privacy & Personal Rights – Your film must not violate the privacy, publicity, or personal rights of any individual or entity.

No Malicious Content – Submissions must be free of viruses, malware, trojans, political campaigning, commercial spam, chain letters, or mass mailings.

By submitting, you confirm that your film aligns with these terms and that Erotic Film Festival London reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not meet these requirements.

B) Submission Guidelines
Complete Submissions Only – Your entry must be fully submitted, including payment and a working screener, to be considered. Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.

Works-in-Progress Accepted – You may submit a work-in-progress (e.g., missing final colour grading or sound mix). However, the version you submit is the only version that will be considered.

No Automatic Replacements – Once submitted, updated cuts or replacement copies will not be accepted unless specifically requested by the programming team.

By submitting, you confirm that your film is ready for review and understand that Erotic Film Festival London will judge it based on the version provided.

All films must be 31 minutes or less.

C) Judging & Selection

Selection Process – Films are chosen by the Erotic Film Festival London programming committee. If your film is selected, we will notify you via email. We aim to inform selected filmmakers at least two weeks before the festival begins.

No Feedback Provided – Unfortunately, we are unable to offer feedback or screening notes for films that are not selected.

Required Materials for Selected Films – If selected, you must provide:

• A high-resolution digital file of your final film, suitable for screening.

• A film poster and/or high-quality stills for promotional use.

Travel & Accommodation: Erotic Film Festival London is unable to cover travel or accommodation costs for filmmakers attending the festival. All expenses related to attendance are the responsibility of the filmmaker.

D) Entry Fees

Submission Platform – All entries must be submitted and paid for through Festhome.

Non-Refundable Fees – Submission fees are non-refundable, covering registration, review by the programming team, and notification of results.

No Fee Waivers – We do not offer fee waivers.

E) Promotion

Festival Promotion – By submitting, you grant Erotic Film Festival London the right to promote your film on our website and social media using the materials you provide (including images and video clips).

Excerpts for Future Promotion – The festival may use an excerpt from your film for promotional purposes, including marketing future editions of the festival.
