Make a film and Video Festival to foster the creation and production of National filmmakers, foreigners and school students in Chile. And allow provide a space for dissemination and discussion of the geographies postponed for hegemony
media, along with promoting the audiovisual and cultural production of each people.

The 10th Festival de Cine de las Ideas, FECID will award the following prizes:

10.1.- PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY (1 prize per National category and one for International)
- Award for best national short film: $ 300,000.-

RECEIVED WORKS THAT DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION AND THE REQUIREMENTS OF PRESELECTION WILL NOT BE ENROLLED AND WILL BE PROCESSED TO YOUR RETURN.

1.- DATE OF THE CONTEST
It will take place in the commune of Puente Alto, Pirque and San José de Maipo from the 4th
to 11th November 2021.

2.- OBJETIVE
Perform a Film and Video Festival to promote the creation and audiovisual production of
national filmmakers, foreigners and students of schools in Chile. And that allows to offer a
space for dissemination and discussion of geographies postponed by the hegemony of
media, along with promoting the audiovisual and cultural production of each town.

3.- ORGANIZERS
The Festival de Cine de las Ideas, FECID is organized by CENTRO CULTURAL CINE IDEAS
and the production company OJO INDISCRETO

4.- CATEGORIES OF THE CONTEST

4.1.- PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY ( National / International Contest Category )
Official competition for national and international films that develop the fiction genre, made in
any format and with a maximum duration of 30 minutes including credits.

4.2.- NATIONAL FILM SCHOOL STUDENTS CATEGORY (From Chile) Official competition for national films that develop the fiction and documentary genre, made in
any format and with a maximum duration of 30 minutes including credits.

5. - ALL THE WORKS IN COMPETITION SHOULD BE PRESENTED IN ORIGINAL VERSION IN SPANISH OR SUBTITLED TO THIS LANGUAGE.

6. - GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

- Those works completed as of January 2020 can participate.
- The works received for the competition, in the different categories, will be preselected.
- To participate in each of the categories, the filmmakers must send their copies in digital
format, be it vimeo, wetransfer or on another professional digital platform, spoken or subtitled
in Spanish. In addition, they must include the following: photographs of the film, plot synopsis,
data sheet and artistic data and the director's complete with photos.

7. - THE MOVIES THAT PARTICIPATE IN THE 15TH FESTIVAL DE CINE DE LAS IDEAS,
FECID 2021, IN THE PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY, THEY SHOULD POSE LEVEL BROADCAST (TECHNICAL STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL LEVEL).

8. - THE COPIES TO BE EXHIBITED WITHIN THE OFFICIAL COMPETITION SHALL BE PRESENTING IN OPTIMAL CONDITIONS OF PROJECTION.

9. - JURY:

- It will be formed by personalities from the audiovisual media, the arts and culture.
- Persons directly related to the works in competition will be disqualified from being part of the jury.
- There will be a jury for each of the competing categories.
- The jury of the pre-selection will not be the same as the final competition
- The decision of the jury is unappealable.

10. - PRIZES
The 10th Festival de Cine de las Ideas, FECID will award the following prizes:

11. - REGISTRATION OF FILMS IN COMPETITION:

- The registration of a work in the professional category, students of film school imply the
acceptance of this regulation.
- The participants guarantee that they hold the rights over the works they send and assume
responsibility in case of third party claims.
- The received works that do not comply with the general conditions of participation and the
pre-selection requirements will not be registered.
- For cases not foreseen in these bases, their ascription will be determined by the direction of
the contest.

12.- EXHIBITION OF THE FILMS IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE FESTIVAL
The submission of the works by the authors and their selection to participate in any of the
categories of the contest, will suppose that they can be exhibited publicly within the
framework of the Festival. For this reason, the participants authorize the organizer of the
Festival to exhibit their works publicly during the term of the contest (from November 4 to 11).
And also, to make the best of FECID a year after the realization of the festival, as well as to
use them in a television program made by our organization.

13. - RIGHTS OF THE WORKS
The participants guarantee that they hold the rights over the works they send and assume
responsibility in case of claims from third parties.

14.- REGISTRATION DATE AND SUBMISSION OF MATERIAL
The works must be sent on behalf of the 15th Las Ideas Film Festival, FECID 2021.

The registration form, the copy of the audiovisual work, as well as all the information required
for the pre-selection, will be received from Monday, may 3 until Friday, September 24, 2021
until 24:00 hrs. as MAXIMUM TERM.
The selection of films and videos will be informed by phone or e-mail to your registrant as of
Monday, October 18, 2021.

The projection formats are: VIDEO DVD Blu-Ray Only video copies in NTSC standard will be
accepted.

15. - INSURANCE OF THE COPIES:
The contest is not responsible for the damages or losses that occurred during the sending of
the copies. In case of serious damage or loss during the Festival, and while it is in its
possession, the organization will be responsible for the replacement cost of the copy, as long
as this situation is notified during the contest.

16. - THE MANAGEMENT OF THE COMPETITION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO FLEXIBILIZE CERTAIN FORMAL RESTRICTIONS WHEN THE SITUATION AS WELL AS IT.

17. - ALL COPIES SENT TO THE FESTIVAL, WILL BE DEPOSITED IN THE VIDEOTECA OF THE IDEAS FILM FESTIVAL, FOR THE PURPOSES OF CULTURAL DISSEMINATION
AND PROMOTION OF THE CONTEST.
