IT´S OPEN TO ALL

The finalist short films will make up the competitive exhibition. This will be screened in the various screening spaces scheduled for this year's edition of the 2024 Festival.

As part of the festival's decentralized activities, this finalist screening may be programmed in audiovisual and cultural events organized or co-organized by the Cinco Minutos Cinco association.

4.1 The categories to be awarded are:

a) Best Short Film of the Festival
b) Special Jury Award
c) Best National Short Film
d) Best Festival Feature Film
e) Best Short Film for Children
f) Audience's Favorite Short Film
g) Best Animated Short Film
h) Community and/or Student Short Film
i) Best National Acting Performance

4.2 The festival trophy will be awarded in each category. The definition of the winning short films is the exclusive decision of the Community Jury.
4.3 The Community Jury is made up of outstanding high school students, high school teachers, local artists, cultural managers. Preferably, the members of the Jury will reside or carry out their activities in South Lima.
4.4 Any aspect not contemplated in the rules will be resolved by the organizing team.

1.1 Short films of fiction and documentary genre may participate. Animation may be used for any category.

1.2 The works must have a maximum duration of 12 minutes and may have been made with any type of support for image capture.

1.3 The works must be produced after January 1, 2022.

1.4 The subject matter is free, but films that address social issues, climate change, cultural identity, life in urban neighborhoods, problems in school life, gender equality, human rights and the environment will be considered.

1.5 Taking into account that the audience is Spanish-speaking, short films that require Spanish subtitles must be subtitled in Spanish.

1.6 Peruvian and foreign filmmakers may participate with the number of short films they consider appropriate.
