The Incontrastable Film Festival is a space that promotes the dissemination of audiovisual works from Ibero-America (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela, Brazil, Portugal, and Spain), with the aim of bringing these independent productions closer to the audience in Huancayo, thereby promoting a critical cinema that contributes to the development of a cinematic culture with a broader and more inclusive perspective in our region.

The 4th edition of the Incontrastable Film Festival will take place from May 2 to 9, 2026, in the city of Huancayo, located in the central highlands of Peru. The call for entries will close on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 23:59, Peruvian time.

Works can be of any theme, technique, and format, and films completed from January 1, 2024, may participate, produced in any Ibero-American country (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela, Brazil, Portugal, and Spain). Films in a language other than Spanish must have embedded Spanish subtitles.

Applicants may submit up to two works maximum, with only one work being selected per category. The works will be evaluated by a selection committee, and the official jury will choose the winning films, whose decision is final.

The festival includes the following competitive sections:

International Feature Film Competition
The director and producer of the work must belong to one of the Ibero-American countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela, Brazil, Portugal, and Spain). Feature films of any theme and technique may be submitted. This category will consider works lasting more than 60 minutes, including credits.

International Non-Fiction Feature Film
The director and producer must belong to one of the Ibero-American countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela, Brazil, Portugal, and Spain). Documentary features of any theme and technique may be submitted. This category will consider works lasting more than 60 minutes, including credits.
National

National Fiction Feature Film
The director and producer must be Peruvian. Feature films of any theme and technique may be submitted. This category will consider works lasting more than 60 minutes, including credits.
National

National Non-Fiction Feature Film
The director and producer of the work must be Peruvian. Documentary features with any theme and technique may be submitted without restrictions. This category will consider works lasting more than 60 minutes, including credits.

National Fiction Short Film
The director and producer of the work must be Peruvian. Fiction short films with any theme and technique may be submitted. This category will consider works lasting less than 30 minutes, including credits.

National Non-Fiction Short Film
The director and producer must be Peruvian. Non-fiction short films with any theme and technique may be submitted. This category will consider works lasting less than 30 minutes, including credits.

Junín Region Short Film
The director and producer must be from the Junín region (Peru). Fiction, documentary, non-fiction, experimental, etc., short films may be submitted. The theme, technique, and format of the work are free and without restrictions. This category will consider works lasting less than 30 minutes, including credits.

National Animation Short Film
The director and producer of the audiovisual work must be of Peruvian nationality. Animation short films with any theme and technique may be submitted. This category will consider works lasting less than 30 minutes, including credits.

National Music Video
The producer and director of the music video must be Peruvian. The music videos must have a narrative and cinematic language. The theme, technique, and format of the work are free and without restrictions.

Ibero-American Childhood Short Film
Short films produced individually and/or collectively by children and adolescents under 17 years old, belonging to any Ibero-American country (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela, Brazil, Portugal, and Spain), may participate. The theme and technique of production are free. Works produced from 2023 onward can be submitted in this category. This category will consider works lasting less than 30 minutes.
