Independent World Film Festival invites students of film, visual arts, communication and related careers, as well as independent filmmakers, amateurs and professionals, from around the world, to participate in its 1st Edition 2020, which will take place in various venues from Colombia.

World Film Festival is a space for the support, diffusion and exhibition of cinematographic works; is presented as a non-profit medium and its priority is independent cinema made by emerging creators around the world.

The films that are presented do not participate for any prize or economic remuneration, since the main objective of the Exhibition is to offer the possibility to new filmmakers to make their work known, as well as to offer a dialogue between the author and the viewer; In order to carry it out, the World Film Festival holds Q&A sessions between the filmmaker and part of his team with the audience; as well as conferences and discussion tables on different topics of interest, with special guests experts in universal cinematography.

Open call from November 11 to December 15 (with three stages).
Notifying those selected on December 17.

The 30 selected filmmakers will be screened in the month of December in movie theaters across the country.

Directors will have the opportunity to attend online question and answer sessions during the Show.

All selected films will receive laurels, will be promoted on the digital mici platform and will receive written and signed recognition from the organizers of the World Film Festival.

* Short films (1 to 29 minutes), medium-length films (30 to 59 minutes) and feature films (60 to 120 minutes).

* Productions made during the years 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

* A maximum of two works per participant.

* Movies from all over the world.

* Materials of any category and genre.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF RECEIPT OF PAPERS

1. The world film festival supports fiction, documentary, documentary, animation and experimental film. As well as all existing film genres.

2. Within the selection parameters, creative authenticity and the correct use of cinematographic language will be taken into account mainly.
- movies from all over the world can participate.

* Any cheating, lying or attempt to deceive the World Film Festival will be a DIRECT AND UNDISCUTABLE reason for disqualification.

All films will be shortlisted. Those who meet the requirements of this call and meet the quality criteria established by the organizing committee and a jury of experts in the field, will be part of the Official Selection of the world film festival.

The dates, times and assigned venues will be announced by email. The decision regarding the selection and scheduling of the Show will be final.

Once the Official Selection is constituted, the world film festival will contact the filmmakers.

If selected, the filmmaker will be asked to send his work with subtitles in Spanish.

REQUIREMENTS ONCE SELECTED

If selected, a Press Kit will be requested with the following requirements:
* Film in final version to be exhibited (final cut), it can be a download link to the email festivaldecinemundial@gmail.com
* Movie poster.
* Recent photo of the director (image in good quality and visible face).
* Biography of the director.
* Synopsis of the film in one paragraph.
* Stills (3 in .jpg format).
* Movie trailer (if available)

Once the work has been selected, the director accepts the exhibition of his work in the different activities scheduled by the Show. Which will be notified in advance and will be made non-profit.
